Soviet football player Georgy Yartsev: biography

George Yartsev is a Soviet football player, a bright, emotional personality, an attacker not only on the field, but also in life. An outstanding player and coach, a risky person and a soldier who graduated from a medical school, but, in spite of everything, going towards his dream. Having the titles of the best scorer of the USSR championship in 1978, the USSR champion in 1979, the silver medalist of the 1980 USSR championship.

early years

He was born in the village of Nikolskoye, Kostroma region. Entered the medical school and graduated from his specialty as a paramedic, but the desire to become a football player won, and the healing in his life took a long way to the second plan. Yartsev's family had nine children, which, in fact, did not affect his personal life, since George himself had only two.

From a young age, George Yartsev, the growth, whose weight is 176 centimeters and 71 kilograms, respectively, played in the teams of the second league. Having played only a match in the CSKA team, Yartsev is injured during training and is no longer returned to this football club. All his prospects he took with him to the Smolensk team.

Spartacus

Outstanding he was destined to be closer to the age of thirty, almost at the end of his career, which at this time only began to blossom. In the team "Spartacus" George Yartsev invited Beskov - a man who could direct the player to the path of the winners, to smooth out his explosive nature. As Georgiy Alexandrovich himself later wrote, the first acquaintance with the coach of the team passed without logical completion, he was simply sent home. The dialogue turned out to be short-lived, after mutual handshakes Konstantin Beskov suggested Yartsev to make his debut in his team, but after the revelations about the age of the party, they said goodbye. The football player left without visiting the Spartak team, which, in turn, upset the famous coach. Then came the challenge of George in the team, and, despite all his fears and doubts, he still agreed.

Many people could not understand the choice of Beskov, why take the "old man" into the team. However, Yartsev's striking results in the matches dispelled all misunderstandings. Return of "Spartacus" in the big leagues was marked by his nineteen balls for the season and, accordingly, personally for George the status of "best scorer".

Soviet football player George Yartsev climbed to the highest level, setting a record that has not yet been surpassed by anyone: seven goals scored in two games in a row. The only attempt in the 2010 Russian Championship was unsuccessful.

Not having played in full a single match in the team, Yartsev still went out six times on the field: then for a substitute, then for the first half. Without hitting his goal without scoring goals, he responsibly helped his colleagues in this difficult matter.

After the native club

Left the favorite club George Yartsev in 1980. From "Spartacus" went to the team "Locomotive", which at that time was trying to return to the big leagues. But since she did not manage to get out, for a long time the "Lokomotiv" football player did not remain. Moreover, no matter how the relations were built in the subsequent teams, "Spartacus" for Yartsev forever remained more than just a team.

Becoming a coach, Georgy Alexandrovich notes that there were censures on the heavy nature of Beskov, but everyone who passed his "school of life" and subsequently followed in his footsteps, absorbed a part of that very character. After all, to train and instruct players, worry for them and prompt - these are completely different feelings and emotions, rather than running on the field.

Trainer's path

In general terms, George Yartsev as a coach is very vulnerable emotionally and superstitiously in football affairs. There was a case: decided that the team lost because of his new jacket. Immediately after the match, the jacket was not lucky, and it was thrown out. The match with the Swedish national team was generally remembered for sleepless nights and losing weight, as the abundance of cigarettes, coffee and an unreasonable sleep are not the best friends of any person.

For the history of the Russian national team the most massive defeat George watched with his own eyes - the team lost to the Portuguese 1: 7. Such a terrible spectacle, he simply could not stand and retired from the field in the eighty-sixth minute, not even sitting until the end of the match. Yartsev suffered a great defeat and chose to hide from the world in the country. And only when I was able to recover, began to prepare for a new match with Estonia.

President of the club of veterans "Spartacus" - an honorary position for the coach. However, after six months, George Yartsev gave his strength to the "Rotor", but once, after leaving home, to Volgograd, Yartsev no longer returned. With this team did not grow together, and it was on her coaching career, George failed. As the Soviet football player and coach himself claimed, he could not demand from the players a good game when they were detained by the salary. And after a couple of years he was appointed coach of the national team of Russia.

Then he went to his friend Oleg Romantsev. The meeting took place at the World Championship in the USA, and there was an offer to become a coach. Since at this time Romantsev was torn between the post of head coach and the office of the president of the red and white, he handed over the leadership team Yartsev.

Achievements

And already in 1996, Georgy Alexandrovich deservedly receives the prize of the best coach of the year. He managed to get out of a difficult situation. Having taken command in his own hands, Yartsev put talented youth to his feet and in the shortest time "tuned" the game, which led to a brilliant victory in the championship.

In 2003, the Russian national team from its submission reached the final part of the European Football Championship, despite the fact that it was only 13 days before the decisive match - the team lacked a number of players, but the coach coped with these difficulties. A little later, George Yartsev, whose photo always demonstrates confidence, went on as coach in FC Torpedo.

Yartsev in history

For the passed years, a myriad of games, seasons, goals scored, pain, joy, grievances Georgy Yartsev, whose biography turned out very bright, could be remembered by the fans and leave their mark in sports history, find friends who are close in spirit and make warm, friendly relations . He opened many ways for young players to life and helped them to become established in sports.
