Diemercy Mbokani: Biography

Born Congolese football player on November 22, 1985 in Kinshasa. The first club of the player was the local "Bel'Or". Here Mbokani acted as the central striker. Having played the debut season for the capital team, the young football player received an offer from the more famous domestic club - "Mazembe". However, even here the young talent was not destined to stay for a long time. A year later, the outstanding game of the striker attracted the attention of the Anderlecht scouts. Soon, Diemercy Mbokani moved to the Belgian championship, signing a long-term contract with the famous club.

Transfer to Anderlecht

For the Belgian club Diemercy Mbokani, whose photo can be seen in this material, first performed at the beginning of the 2006/2007 season. The first match in the European championship for the striker was a match against the "Charleroi". However, on the field the Congolese newcomer appeared only in the 89th minute of the meeting, which did not allow him to distinguish himself by any memorable actions.

For six months in the "Anderlecht" Diemercy Mbokani three times trusted the place in the composition. At the same time, the attacker appeared on the field every time from the bench. Only a few rounds before the end of the championship, the African footballer began to get more gaming practice. The reason for the frequent appearance of the Congolese on the field was in many respects the significant point difference between Anderlecht and direct competitors in the standings. Despite the lack of experience, Diemercy Mbokani declared himself as a real scorer in the decisive meetings of the Belgian championship. So, in the final five games of the championship, the striker signed 4 goals with goals scored in another's goal.

Continuation of career in Europe

After a year's performance for Anderlecht, Diemercy Mbokani was in dire need of getting a practice game. For this reason, the player decided to leave the club. In the services of the attacker, another Belgian team became interested - Standard from Liege. Here the Congolese footballer stayed until 2010, until his contract was redeemed by the French "Monaco". The debut season in the new championship was even less successful for the player. Not showing his best qualities, Mbokani moved to the German "Folsburg", where he spoke on loan. In the championship of Germany, Diemersi played only 7 fights, not scoring a single ball. Soon a serious knee injury forced the attacker to go on rehabilitation, which lasted until the end of the season.

Return to Anderlecht

At the start of the 2011/2012 season, Diemercy Mbokani resumed the agreement with the Belgian club. Not having competitors in the position of the central striker, the player began to regularly go on fights in the first team. Quite soon, the successful actions of Diemercy on the field allowed him to win the recognition of fans of the club.

For 2 seasons in the "Anderlecht" African striker played 52 matches in the national Belgian championship, which scored 32 goals scored. Such a high performance allowed the Congolese to get the title of the top scorer of the championship in 2013.

Going to Dynamo

At the beginning of the 2013/2014 season in Kiev Dynamo, a change of mentors occurred. Instead of the legend of Oleg Blokhin's club, his former teammate Sergei Rebrov was appointed to the post of the head coach of the team. The young mentor was in dire need of a hammered striker, who soon became Diemercy Mbokani. The Congolese's transfer from Anderlecht cost the people of Kiev 10 million euros.

Already in 2 debut matches for Dynamo, the African striker managed to score 3 goals on his own account. Despite the successful start in the new club, Mbokani was unable to compete for a place in the first team with other team newcomers. The constant turmoil in relations with the head coach, the uneasy character and resonant statements of the player in the press forced the leadership of Dynamo to send the Congolese player to the lease.

The new club for Diemersi was the English "Norwich City", where the striker moved in 2015. At the start of the next season Mbokani returned to Kiev, but was soon sent to the next lease in "Hull City", the colors of which are protected to this day.

Career in the national team

DiMercy Mbokani has always been in favor of the national team of DR Congo, starting in 2005, until 2010. In 2011, the player made the mistake of pretending to be injured, unwilling to go with the national team for the African Nations Cup. As a result, the Congolese Football Association decided to ban the striker from life for the national team for life. However, the football player soon managed to find a common language with officials. Thus, Mbokani was lucky enough to prove himself at several subsequent tournaments of KAN-2013 and KAN-2015.

The final point in his career for the team Dyemersi put in early 2016, when the national federation imposed on the player an impressive fine. The reason was the player's non-appearance in a duel against Angola. According to Mbokani himself, he had no opportunity to catch the match, because he was forced to stay at the airport in Brussels because of the terrorist attacks that occurred here before the planned departure for the national team.
