Sewer PVC pipes: a useful invention

For the installation of sewer pipes in the last century, several types of pipes were used. Usually it was concrete or cast-iron pipes, ceramics were much less often used. At the moment, especially popular are sewer PVC pipes. What is this material and how to work with it?

Sewer PVC pipes: advantages of use

Polyvinyl chloride is a polymer widely used in repair and construction. This material is characterized by tremendous physical and technical qualities and a minimum of shortcomings. Such a wide use of products from this substance is due to the fact that it is harmless to human health. When heated, the material does not exude harmful gases, it is not combustible, and working with it, in general, is a pleasure. Among the developers are in great demand using sewer PVC pipes, which pretty much pressed the products made from traditional materials. This is due to a number of advantages:

- high degree of strength, as well as a sufficiently long period of operation;

- light weight, which makes it easier to load them, as well as installation;

- the connection is a very simple process, not requiring the purchase of any special equipment;

- high degree of resistance to the influence of aggressive environment, ultraviolet and temperature;

- Excellent throughput, as well as the possibility of self-cleaning;

- a sewer pipe PVC (150 mm in diameter) is clogged much less often than a similar cast iron pipe.

Another advantage is that after their installation, no staining or other additional protection against exposure to a variety of external factors is required. The presence of chlorine in the composition of the atoms contributes to self-extinction in case of fire, and this makes it possible to eliminate the fire quickly enough.

Sewer PVC pipes: varieties

The industry produces several groups of such products. You can name such varieties:

- focused on the creation of systems inside the premises;

- intended for use outside buildings and structures;

- oriented to use in pressure sewage systems.

Mounting Features

The first stage of work requires the drawing up of a detailed project. To do this, calculate the number of pins to be set. This number is determined by counting the water outlet points. Usually this amount includes a kitchen sink, a shower or a bath, a toilet, a washbasin in the bathroom, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Each water disposal point requires the use of an oblique tee. In this case, it is inappropriate to use direct ones, since this can adversely affect the speed of water movement. After this, the length of the pipes is measured, for which you can use a tape measure.

The connection of the elements is made in the socket. If you use a sewer pipe PVC 250 mm (diameter), then all tees should be of the appropriate diameter.
