Sergei Ulyanov - Lenin's brother (photo)

If Renat Voligamsi (about him later) did not remove the veil from this great mystery, no one would know until now that the leader of the proletarian revolution had a twin brother. Vladimir Lenin every day saw every Soviet preschool child, his portraits were in kindergartens, offices of leaders and rank-and-file officials. The life of the creator of the USSR was carefully studied, his works were studied and outlined (not always reflecting on the meaning of jagged phrases), but not many were aware of the nationality, the composition of the family and other biographical subtleties. Of course, Stalin, of course, is guilty, he concealed the very fact of Sergei Ilyich's existence, his name (and Lenin, respectively) of his grandfather and much more. It seemed that this story is forever covered in mystery. And suddenly such an opening!

Childhood

It all started with pictures showing pretty boys, similar to each other as two drops of water. Both with curly heads, dressed equally, in general, the usual children's pictures, which in each family album a lot. Surprised only by their abundance, and they were made at such moments when the camera (it was in the XIX century, and then there were still no mobile phones with built-in cameras, even black and white) could not always be at hand. For example, here Volodya Ulyanov carries a bag, judging by the signature, with the kittens, which he is going to drown. According to Voligamsi, the twin brother of Lenin Seryozha (although there was no party pseudonym at that time) loved animals, pitied them and did not offend them, which caused the boys to have conflicts many times. However, the parents loved all their sons.

Adolescence

Sergei was still in his youth - because of his love for animals - he did not eat meat. At the age of sixteen he went to live in Ufa, was carried away by pagan theosophical theories, married a Bashkir (her name was Zukhra, and she was very beautiful), invited her relatives to a wedding, but they did not come because they feared contracting typhus. Once Sergei (brother) Lenin even met accidentally at the fair, and they again took a picture together. The attempt to convert the Marxist to Buddhists failed, although it was done, and it is not known how the story would turn if it was successful. Meanwhile, the first Russian revolution thundered , the party needed money, and Vladimir Ilyich remembered that Sergei Ilyich had become a fairly wealthy businessman, trading wax. By that time, he allegedly married two more times (faith allowed him), but he did not refuse the request and sold all his goods, but gave me money. I brought this sum to Petrograd's brother Lenin personally. Meanwhile, the leader himself was preparing weapons for the coming battles. He even sharpened an ax, this photo is also from R. Voligamsi.

The first Soviet years

No doubt, Sergei Ulyanov, Lenin's brother, was an outstanding personality, and the leader of the revolution often consulted with him. He believed that together they represented considerable strength. Exterior similarity amused many. The confusion that arose was the subject of numerous Bolshevik jokes, and it was not always clear where Lenin's brother was, and where he himself was. Even the photographer was mistaken, making out a pass to the Kremlin.

After the revolution, SI Ulyanov returned to Ufa and enlisted. But the leader of the party and of the first Soviet state fell ill, and then died, after several romantic years dark times came. It was not a joke. Under the Stalinist ax, the whole old Bolshevik guard fell, and soon the line could reach Sergei Ilyich. And the twin brother of Lenin fled from repression abroad.

Emigration

Of course, it was possible to make a coup and lead the party, using complete external resemblance, or even to impersonate the leader, but the vegetarian-Buddhist nature of the intrigues was notorious. The way abroad was not easy: first Lithuania, then Romania, after Switzerland. In the end, Lenin's brother Sergei Ilyich settled in Mexico, where he met with LD Trotsky many times and even made attempts to rally the old Bolshevik emigrants to a single efficient organization. There he wrote a book, "Turning history back", it was called, and was published forty times. In his opinion, Islam could be a new unifying ideological platform.

Mecca and Cuba

Lenin's brother Sergei visited Mecca (he lived there for a couple of years), because he seriously took an interest in the Islamic religion, which did not stop him from moving to Cuba, where he was invited by Comrade Fidel Castro himself. On the Island of Freedom, he spent his last years. Here he was well, the warm climate and hospitality of the fraternal people contributed to a fruitful theoretical work for the benefit of communism, which, as Lenin's brother believed, was already around the corner, and all over the world. Khrushchev's thaw gave hope for an early return to the USSR without fear of reprisals.

Last years

Little is known about SI Ulyanov's personal life, but, according to unverified information, he had two daughters-one in Mexico and the other in the Middle East. Lenin's twin brother Sergei Ilyich Ulyanov had high hopes for Nikita Khrushchev, who promised to restore the former pre-Leninist party leadership standards, but in vain. The coming to power of Brezhnev's team became for him a symptom of the restoration of totalitarianism. Sergei Ulyanov, Lenin's brother and a devoted Bolshevik in his heart, was painfully and painfully worried about the resignation of Nikita Sergeyevich. This coup traumatized his psyche, and his shaky health was never restored, despite all the best efforts in the world of Cuban medicine. In 1965, Sergei Ulyanov, Lenin's brother, died quietly in Havana. There he was buried under a modest slab, on which a proletarian emblem was stamped - a crossed sickle and a hammer.

Exposure in the final

Of course, no twin brother of Lenin, Sergei, never existed. But there was an artistic movement, called social art, whose representatives are the artists Melamid, Komar (after the departure to the West, this surname is pronounced with emphasis on the first syllable), already mentioned by Renat Voligamsi and several other creative artists. In the late eighties and early nineties there was an increased demand for works of a provocative nature, most often representing a parody of socialist realism. It was during this period that Renat Voligamsi was invented by Lenin's brother, Renatom Voligamsi, and photos allegedly confirming his being, they also were assembled from various archival photographs. From a commercial point of view, the move was strong, as, on the one hand, it fully corresponded to the officially sanctioned and encouraged by the authorities position of humiliation of the images of totalitarian leaders, and, on the other hand, did not less satisfy the needs of the greater part of the population (especially the creative intelligentsia) Socialist realism. In addition, the creation of such "masterpieces" does not require special skill, as well as labor. Well, what time, such an art ...
