Gryazelechebnitsa and other sights of Yessentuki

In the valley of the Podkumok River , one of the four resorts of the Caucasian Mineral Waters is located in the town of Yessentuki. He appeared here in 1798 as a military redoubt, which guarded the southern borders of Russia. Its name he received from the river Essentuk, flowing in this area. Almost every settlement has its own symbol of the city: in New York - the Statue of Liberty, in Paris - the Eiffel Tower, and in Essentuki it is considered to be the building of the mud baths. They can be seen in the bas-reliefs of the building, and in the waiting rooms. The basement of the building is equipped with a mud cave, in which mud gets from the Tambukan Lake.

But this is not the end of Yessentuki's sights. Another highlight of this locality is the Zander Institute of Mechanotherapy, built in the German fachwerk technique. It is located on the main avenue of the spa park, and it is simply impossible not to notice it. To date, there are 54 old vehicles, 52 cast iron and 2 new ones, the development of which belongs to Russian engineers. Climbing up the alley, you can get to the Upper Baths building. Its top view is a square with a circle in the middle. In the square part, vacationers take narzan baths, and in the round there is an inhalatorium.

Continuing to explore the sights of Yessentuki, one can not but mention architectural structures of a religious nature, among which the church of St. Panteleimon, which is located on Andzhievsky Street. The first mention of it can be found in the old documents of 1886. However, the original structure could not survive until our days, as it was completely destroyed. Only in 1992 began the re-erection of the main building. On the Naberezhnaya street there is another building - the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose foundation was laid in 1995.

If you look at other architectural structures of the city of Yessentuki, you can add to the sights such as the fountain on the Central Square, which is considered to be the largest in the southern part of Russia (over 100 square meters). Every minute, 10 tons of water are swept into the sky. The most beautiful picture can be observed after sunset, when the light illumination of the fountain turns on, and it begins to shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow.

Attractions of Yessentuki can be supplemented with other interesting places of the city. So, the local flying club is one of the most famous in Russia. Here you can observe the figures of aerobatics, parachute jumping. Another interesting place of this village is the resort park, the age of many trees in which has already passed for a 100-year mark. Attire is given to it by summer summerhouses, various fountains, cascading staircases, flower beds. It is recommended to visit the site of roses, of which there are more than a hundred species.
