Nikita Khrushchev and his decade

Each member of the Stalin Politburo was a man of exceptional character who had gone through a difficult journey during the revolutionary activities of the Bolshevik Party, and then numerous cleansings, all truthfully-untruth fortified at the top of the power of the largest country in the world. Nikita Khrushchev is not an exception.

Born into a poor peasant family, he becomes a commissar of twenty. When he was a little over forty, he headed the Regional Committee of the capital, actively involved in economic life. Then he leads the Communist Party of Ukraine, organizes activities on Sovietization of the annexed western regions, in general, always at the very center of events.

The war ... The time when millions of millions died. The time when there were rapid leaps in the career of some state and party leaders. And now there is the Victory Parade, the tribune of the mausoleum, members of the Politburo, and among them Khrushchev Nikita Sergeevich, Lieutenant-General.

For the time being, if a novice differs from other "celestials" from large portraits, it is only because other Kremlin residents treat him like "army salubon". They chuckle at him, put a tomato on a chair, ironize about the plump figure. Hands on the elbow in the blood of all of them, behind collectivization, industrialization, mass "landing" and shootings, famine, and leadership in Stalin's times could not hope to avoid participation in these crimes, not even so high. So, Nikita Khrushchev again is no exception.

After the death of the "great helmsman" in 1953, no one perceives this lover to eat deliciously as a possible heir to the Soviet empire. And then he strikes an unexpected and crushing blow to the main competitor - deputy chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers. It can be said that Nikita Khrushchev committed a coup d'etat, accusing L.P. Beria in espionage in favor of Great Britain, and at the same time and in all mortal sins, including hundreds of rapes, and repressions, in which he himself took no less part.

Then strange times began. The first three years all went as before, and then a thunder broke: at the XX Congress suddenly sounded the famous report. It turned out that Stalin got a little excited. No, it's not a matter of socialism as such, it's just that some of Lenin's principles were violated. What kind? A collective leadership, for example.

Being an ignorant man, Nikita Khrushchev was looking for the simplest ways out of the most difficult situations. The development of virgin lands, in itself a very useful and necessary task, was carried out by unscientific methods. The chemicalization of everything from the means of increasing efficiency turned into an end in itself. Corn should be sown wherever possible (and where not).

However, many of his aspirations were really good. Let and small-sized, but millions of citizens of the USSR have found their apartments. Collective farmers have finally received passports, and at the same time with them - the status of equal citizens and the opportunity, albeit problematic, to leave the disgraced and impoverished village.

Such was Khrushchev's thaw. It can not be briefly described, for, on the one hand, the restoration of legality was declared, millions of prisoners returned home from the camps, and on the other, every dissent was ruthlessly suppressed both in the country and throughout the socialist camp.

The result of this inconsistency was a complete loss of popularity and resignation. Stalinists could not forgive the debunking of their idol, the intelligentsia - persecution, the military - cuts, and the rest of the people - illiteracy and bungling.

Nikita Khrushchev died in 1971. He was a personal retiree.
