She won titles in Acapulco (which she would later call her favorite tournament), in Palermo, Budapest and Barcelona. In addition, already at the first Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open, she was able to reach the quarterfinals. Finally, she managed to win in the matches with the representatives of the Top-10, before it in the most stubborn struggle was always inferior to her eminent rivals.
