I'll tell you how to replace the glass with a crack for a new one. This kind of work is better if it is produced on an ideally smooth and level surface, if of course this is possible. For this work, we need the following tools: a narrow chisel, a special sealant for performing glass works, a small hammer (for small nails), a construction tape measure, a pencil, a blank sheet of paper on which you will later need to record the glass sizes and small nails for the glazing bead. Tear off carefully the bezel and take out the glass carefully. Then, where there was a glass clean from the dirt. When all this is done, take our sheet of paper, pencil and construction tape measure and begin to measure what kind of glass we need. When the glass is frozen, you need to make an allowance of about 1mm.

For example: if you get a glass of 90.1 × 90.1 cm, it turns out that we need a glass with dimensions of 90x90 cm. Attention! It should be borne in mind that if the home air conditioners are built into the window frames (whether plastic windows, wooden or conventional) it is still necessary to entrust the matter to professionals. For example, companies that are engaged in installing windows and dismantling old windows (and window openings). But this article assumes that you do not have built-in air conditioners in your windows.

Therefore, after you have measured everything and you have a new glass, you can start installing it in the frame. But before you put a new glass in the frame to begin with, you need to pass a special sealant groove. When the hermetic was applied in the groove, carefully place the glass in its place and press it lightly. Then take the glazing bead and nail it in place. But it is not necessary to nail the glazing beams with old nails, than it was nailed, but new ones. And at the end of the job, set the frame to the place where it was before, unless of course you took it off.
