There is another nuance in the choice of models designed to work with rivers and ponds. The fact is that the pump for automatic irrigation of a garden or vegetable garden with a lawn does not require ideally pure water, but excessive pollution is unacceptable. There are two ways to insure against problems of this kind. Or, from the outset, you can expect to purchase a unit with primary filtration (such models can be operated with contaminated sources), or provide for a purification device at the outlet.

Pump stations

These are multifunctional units that can theoretically fulfill any water supply tasks. Such an aggregate can be connected to the garden tank with water, and bring it to the nearest river. Technical parameters open unlimited possibilities for operation. And one more important plus is the presence of the developed automatics which will allow to operate a wide spectrum of working parameters. However, the pump for automatic irrigation of a lawn in the form of a universal station is not cheap, it does not make sense to buy it for the needs of a small plot. But if it comes to large areas and, most importantly, zones with different requirements for irrigation, then this option will be the best. The station will be able to provide watering of the lawn and garden, while observing the water supply parameters corresponding to these sections. For comparison: surface and barrel units are limited to watering in one mode.

Implementation of automation

Nowadays traditional manual irrigation with a hose practically does not occur. Watering plants independently perform their function in accordance with specified parameters. In particular, the user can set the head, time interval and other characteristics. The devices of such control are purchased separately or can be included in the pump package. Modern configurations provide for the possibility of supplying the hose with small devices that regulate the characteristics of the water supply. For example, a pump for automatic watering of the garden from the barrel can be provided with a special timer and a sensor. This configuration will allow to control the irrigation time intervals, as well as to monitor the humidity parameters of air and soil.

Conclusion

The technical organization of the irrigation system is rarely limited to just buying a pump with control elements. Much of the cost goes to the communication support infrastructure. Even in the initial version, the garden pump for automatic irrigation may require the use of valves, regulators, fittings and all kinds of adapters that will not only allow the flow of water from the source to the place of consumption, but also to optimize this chain. It also makes sense to assess the possibilities of expanding the operational spectrum or even the re-qualification of the pump. If, for example, in the future it is required to supply the same clean water pump to the house, then such a format of the unit operation should be provided in advance.
