Proper feeding of cucumbers - a pledge of high yields!

One of the most popular vegetable crops in the native spaces are cucumbers. Indeed, it is absolutely impossible to imagine Russian national cuisine without lightly salted or pickled cucumbers. Therefore, there is nothing surprising in that lovers of crunching a tender vegetable very often grow it independently, not only on personal plots, but also in urban apartments. The yields are significantly affected by timely and sufficient watering, correctly calculated feeding of cucumbers.

Since cucumbers are very demanding for soil fertility, for their successful growth it is necessary to make both organic and mineral fertilizers. Their amount essentially depends on the nature of the soil, the conditions and the phase of the growth of cucumbers. However, the concentration of fertilizers should be clearly verified, since, on the one hand, cucumbers need a large amount of nutrients, but on the other - they do not tolerate too much of their content in the ground.

Under the planting of seeds or seedlings of cucumbers choose well-lit land that is well fertilized with cow dung. Immediately two to three days before planting, the initial top dressing of cucumbers is made with the necessary trace elements. To do this, prepare aqueous solutions (the amount in grams of substance per 10 liters of water) of superphosphate, potassium salt or ammonium nitrate. As an organic fertilizer, use is made of waterborne slurry of cow dung (in proportion one part to eight parts of water) or bird droppings (one part to ten parts of water). However, a similar concentration of fertilizer solutions is designed for adult plants, for fertilizing young shoots, the saturation is reduced by one and a half to two times.

To effectively grow and fructify the vegetable culture, mineral and organic top dressing for cucumbers must necessarily alternate and be made regularly. The first application of fertilizers for young plants is carried out in the third or fourth week after planting. They finish feeding the plants three to four days before the harvest, so that the microelements do not accumulate in the fruit.

Also, the fertilization of cucumbers with certain fertilizer can be made to improve the current state of plants. For example, if they are weak, forming a lot of ovaries, which can not develop and mature, the main lure will be the actual manure and nitrate, that is fertilizer with a predominance of nitrogen in its composition. When there is a lack of education of female color, which leads to a decrease in yield, the problem is solved by introducing exclusively alternating phosphate-potassium fertilizers and ash. With underdevelopment of the root system and general weakening, the greatest effect comes from foliar top dressing of plants. Such a method of fertilization allows not only to provide the plant with the necessary nutrients and the development of the root system, but also to increase its resistance to various unfavorable factors.

It is a foliar top dressing of cucumbers an aqueous solution of the necessary trace elements - 0.138 grams of salt per 10 liters of water, among which urea, potassium, magnesium, sulfate salts and superphosphate. Usually, ready-made microfertilizers produced in tablets are used to prepare such a fertilizer. A radical supplement is introduced not by a watering method, but by spraying the surface of the soil near the stem of the plant.
