Practical geography: which countries border with Russia

Russia, aka the Russian Federation or the Russian Federative Republic, abbreviated as Russia, is the world's largest state with a territory of 17,948,246 kilometers. Accordingly, and the extent of its land and sea borders taken together exceeds by kilometer the boundaries of any power of the Old and New Worlds.

Due to its large size, the Russian Federation occupies a significant part of Eastern Europe and spread its expanses deep into North Asia. This extent exceeds all other interstate territorial ties not only between the Russian Federation and the rest of the world, but, in general, in the world. Relations between the countries are close, friendly, there are no customs restrictions, the economic space is the same as with Belarus.
  • From the Asian region, which countries border on Russia? China, Mongolia and Korea (North). From time to time, disputes arise between heads of state about a particular territory. The settlement takes place at the diplomatic level.
  • And, of course, Japan and the United States are our Far Eastern neighbors.
