The recipe can be different, but the result is always satisfying, unusual and tasty. You can experiment with breading or filling. This garnish is good even for a festive table. Classic potato balls

The recipe requires the use of the following products: five hundred grams of potatoes, salt, one hundred and fifty milliliters of milk, fifty grams of butter, flour or bread crumbs, egg, two hundred milliliters of vegetable oil for frying. The basis of the dish is the usual mashed potatoes. Clean, rinse and boil the potatoes. Make mashed potatoes with warm milk, carefully stretching so that it does not get lumps. Add butter and sculpt small balls. If the mashed potatoes are soft, and the shape is hard to give, try to moisten your hands in cold water. Finished balls roll in flour, dip into egg and again into flour or breadcrumbs. The first option is more gentle, and the second - crispy. In a frying pan pour the vegetable oil. The level should be such that it can float potato balls. The recipe, of course, is not dietary, but it turns out very tasty. Fry until golden browned. If it bursts, and the filling begins to creep, take the balls out of the oil, without waiting for the readiness. In this way, you can vary the menu, and just simply solve the problem of the remaining Mashed potatoes.

As an option, you can prepare potato balls with cheese. The recipe will remain virtually unchanged. You can also add greens or panic balls in unsweetened crushed flakes.

Meat Potato Balls

Recipe for this dish involves the use of the following products: a kilogram of potatoes, two glasses of flour, an egg, one hundred and fifty grams of salted pork, one onion, a tablespoon of butter, a pinch of sweet pepper, salt and spices to taste. Boil the tubers in a uniform, peel and rasstolkite in mashed potatoes. To avoid dense lumps, you can use a mixer. After complete cooling, add egg, salt, flour and pepper, knead the potato dough. Peel and finely chop the onion, sauté in the frying pan for a few minutes. Cut the meat into small cubes and add to the onions, fry for a while. Remove from heat, season with pepper and let cool. You can make potato balls. The recipe is this - take a spoonful of dough, roll a little lump with a small groove, put the meat stuffing and roll it so that a uniform ball is obtained. Cook in salted boiling water until all float to the surface. This will take no more than ten minutes. You can serve to the table with fresh herbs, sour cream or any sauce to taste. This dish turns rich and appetizing, so it does not need an additional side dish.
