Polyurethane paint - modern paintwork

The last decades have shown that the development of modern technologies does not stop for a second. A lot of new coatings are being developed, technologies are being improved, the capabilities of builders and the needs of buyers are expanding. The main component for modern developments was the artificial material - polyurethane. It has found wide application, but most often it can be found in the role of replacement of natural rubber and rubber. Nevertheless, the unique properties of polyurethane can replace them with plastic and even metal.

But now we will talk about such product as polyurethane paint. Such material possesses rather specific characteristics, has low cost, and also successfully resists mechanical damages and deformations, withstands a wide range of temperatures and has a sufficiently long service life.

Polyurethane paint is also characterized by a high degree of resistance to the destructive effect of alkalis and acids, various oils, as well as gasoline. Similar painting coatings are usually divided into two groups: one-component and two-component.

As is clear from the title, the main difference between these two categories is in the number of components. One-component paint is an elastic rubber-like paint and varnish that resembles a conventional paint. Such a connection is immediately sold ready for use, which means that no additional measures are required to prepare it, which significantly shortens the duration of repair work.

At the same time, a couple of components, of which the polyurethane paint is a hardener and resinous structures - are in different capacities. They must be combined in special proportions. Nevertheless, this technology has many positive features:

1. When the coating is applied, the process of solidification or polymerization of the composition takes place. It successfully proceeds without the participation of moisture, which means that such a reaction does not allow paying attention to weather factors, such as snow, rain, fog.

2. Easy to obtain the necessary amount of colorful material. The possibility of breeding only the required amount of paint can significantly reduce its consumption, and therefore, save on the purchase of materials. However, polyurethane paint is poorly stored in the diluted state for a long time. Even under certain conditions.

3. The result of use is a durable and long-term coating. In this regard, the two-component coating has a significant advantage over the usual one-component coating.

Consequently, polyurethane paint allows to obtain an elastic wear-resistant coating that is sufficiently resistant to mechanical damage and chemical compounds, and also successfully withstands the influence of ultraviolet radiation. Such a coating is widely spread, due to the universality of use: it is possible both external and internal application.
