Among the vast number of drugs-analogues, Mukaltin, which has been repeatedly tested by time, still remains relevant. Instructions for use of this drug describes it as an anti-inflammatory, expectorant and enveloping agent of plant origin of local action. The expectorant property of "Mukaltina" is due to reflex stimulation, which increases the peristalsis of respiratory bronchioles and the activity of the ciliated epithelium along with the increased secretion of the bronchial glands. Contributes to this mixture of plant polysaccharides. Sodium bicarbonate increases bronchial secretion and dilutes sputum.

In turn, it contributes to a full cough of phlegm and the hydrocarbonate present in the drug.

Slime contained in the drug "Mukaltin" - instruction for use indicates - significantly reduces the inflammatory process, the stomach (mucous membrane) is restored from irritation, and the regeneration process of the stomach cells is significantly accelerated, thanks to its enveloping with plant mucus.

Mukaltin. Use of the medicinal product

Apply the drug, appointing children over 12 years and adults, from 1 to 2 tablets before eating 3-4 times a day. Children under 12 years of age make an appointment for taking Mukaltin medication 3-4 times a day for the first pill. Moreover, the previously crushed tablet is dissolved in a small amount of slightly warmed water. The course of treatment with this medication is generally from 10 to 15 days, which is usually enough to make phlegm easy to clear.

Mukaltin is an instruction for use, to which it warns that it, like any medicine, has contraindications to use, namely:

  • Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;
  • Hypersensitivity to the root of the althea drug.

In addition, sometimes side effects, manifested in the form of allergic reactions: hives, skin rashes, skin itching.

However, "Mukaltin" - an abstract, to which it confirms, is not contraindicated during lactemia and pregnancy due to, as part of its composition, the plant extract of the root of the althea medicinal.

  • laryngitis;
  • pneumonia;
  • bronchial asthma;
  • Obstructive bronchitis ;
  • COPD;
  • Chronic and acute bronchitis;
  • Inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract with the formation of hard-to-recover sputum.
