Pipe "Korsis": technical characteristics, application, advantages

Utilization of plastics, polyethylene, cellophane and their derivatives is not so expensive as troublesome, bringing in small profits, especially at the first stages of development. In this regard, wherever you look, you will see scattered packages, bottles, different parts of household equipment. Take it and do not do anything plastic. True, there is one sphere of production, where the use of this material brings much more benefit and does not require almost no recycling. We are talking about plumbing and plumbing systems. Let's talk about polypropylene pipes produced under the trademarks "Korsis" and "Pragma".

Purpose and scope

Polypropylene pipes are designed for non-pressure transmission of industrial fluids, sewage and storm water, solution of water supply and sewerage problems. With all these functions, the sewage pipe "Pragma" and "Korsis" successfully handles. The design features greatly simplify the laying and operation of pipelines. They are used both for underground and for outdoor (ground) laying in different regions of the country, in different climatic latitudes. Since the product of the firm "Pragma" and the pipe "Korsis" technical characteristics, purpose, design, and appearance (except for coloring) are almost identical, we can consider them in a general example.

Main characteristics

The product is a two-layer pipe made by extrusion (joining layers) from polypropylene with various additives. The inner working layer is smooth, which prevents clogging. The outer corrugated layer is responsible for protection against mechanical damage during installation and transportation, as well as ground pressure during operation. The pipe "Korsis" technical characteristics has the following:

  • Diameter - from 110 mm to 1200 mm;
  • The depth of the bookmark is from 1 to 15 m;
  • Working pressure - up to 10 atmospheres;
  • Weight of one running meter - from 1.2 kg to 50 kg;
  • Ring stiffness - 2-16 kN / m 2 .

Corrugated Corrugated Pipe Modifications

All pipes with a two-layer profiled wall "Corsis" are produced in black color on the outside with pieces of 6 and 12 meters in length. The inner color of the "Corsis-PRO" series is light blue. The product is characterized by increased ring stiffness - 16 units (index CH). This allows you to lay at maximum depths of up to 15 meters. The SN index itself can be 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 16 and 24 kN / m 2, depending on the diameter, thickness and structure of the wall in the pipes. The smallest - in the pipes of the ECO series, made of recycled material.

Pipes "Korsis", whose technical characteristics are adapted specifically for outdoor installation, are produced by a series of SVT (spiral-wound). The outer color is black, the inner color is white. The IZO-Korsis series is specially designed for operation in conditions with low temperatures. Another pipe "Corsis" technical characteristics is maximized (diameter, wall thickness, annular rigidity). It goes on sale under a series of PLUS. The diameter of such pipes is 2400 mm. The APM and CBT series have analogous properties. Always choose the corrugated polypropylene pipes for the ring stiffness index. It is better to buy a series with higher rates.

Installation of pipelines

As with any other pipeline construction, first you need to dig a trench, then make a pillow of sand. Only then the pipe "Corsis" goes. The technical characteristics of this type of pipe require the arrangement not only of the sand cushion, but also the filling of the entire body of the pipe with fine-grained sand. This is necessary for the construction of the corrugated outer layer. Thus, the entire load is distributed directly to the stiffeners.

For joining there are two types of installation: muff and welding. The coupling is made by means of a coupling as follows: first put a sealing ring on one pipe (depending on the diameter of the first or second slot). Then we mount the clutch. Now put the ring on the second pipe and insert it into the first clutch.

The technique of joining with welding is no different from the connection of any other kinds of polymer products. Pipes "Korsis" of large diameters are produced with a bell. Its length is from 97 to 433 mm. Using a welding machine, heating the thin end and the end with the bell, and then inserting them into each other, we get a strong and reliable joint.

Advantage of corrugated pipes

You can say a lot about the merits of polypropylene corrugated pipes . Here, both the speed and ease of work, and the saving of material plus human resources. Increased performance and compliance with environmental requirements are also positive. But the main advantage of the Corsis pipe is the technical characteristics, which allow using it in unstable soils, in permafrost conditions. A two-hob shape of the corrugated surface is capable of withstanding increased loads in any unfavorable temperature conditions.
