Which one to choose depends on your personal growing conditions. The first saves space and gives more seedlings, the second ensures that a plant that is put into the tablet will uniquely appear.

The number one advises to choose a large enough pallet on which peat tablets will be located. The instruction requires only to observe a certain distance between the future "pots": they have to increase every seven.

"Billets" are watered (naturally, fixed), left alone for a quarter of an hour or half an hour (depending on the manufacturer), and seeds are placed in the holes on top of the pill.

This method is particularly suitable if the growing of seeds in peat tablets assumes further mass planting, that is, the presence of plants in large quantities.

Two methods of application: the second - individual

This approach will require a much larger space for implementation. The point is that every future "glass" is placed in a separate small plastic container, for example, in a jar from under yogurt. So one sill will be enough for a much smaller number of seedlings. However, while the swollen tablets will not press each other sideways when swelling, and there is no risk that the rootlets of the plants will intertwine, if suddenly sprout through the walls of their pot. Before you put in peat pills, if they are in extra capacity, these cups are better disinfected - seedlings unnecessary fungi and bacteria are not needed.

Subtlety of use

For the beginning - the first watering. Absorb tablets exactly as much as they need to swell. If half an hour after the addition of water it is still left, then it's extra moisture, and it must be drained.

The next moment is the water temperature. It should be at least room. However, it is noted that if the water is warm (somewhere 30-40 degrees), then the process goes faster.

Another nuance. Further Care

It is very simple. If you still created greenhouse conditions (in the same box from the cake), then it remains only to ventilate the container so that the mold and fungus do not flourish from moisture. The timing of airing is not difficult to determine: a drop drops over the plastic - we open the box for half an hour. Only no drafts! If you are not the first time using peat tablets for seedlings, the instruction has probably been learned by heart, but all the same it should be remembered: drafts - "no", ventilations - "yes."

Until germs appeared, the tablets can be damped simply from a spray gun (or, if you have many seedlings, from a nebulizer). The main thing is not to overdo it: the power of the jets should not dilute the peat basis. When the seedlings are pierced, the irrigation method changes. Now water should come from below, from a plastic pallet (Hopefully, you'll check holes in "individual" glasses ... However, this is already at the level of instincts ...) If you pour on top, the water will certainly fall on fresh leaves or stems, Some diseases that we absolutely do not need.

Another important rule: do not overdry, but do not over-moisten. Some beginners gardening, not previously faced with peat pills, relaxed, learning that they do not absorb more than necessary. Of course, this is convenient. But the excess water still needs to be removed, otherwise the peat itself will rot. And the excess moisture in the mini-greenhouse for the benefit of plants will not go. At least it will be necessary to ventilate once again, and this is also a hassle. So it is better to observe the irrigation regime.

How many seeds and how deep

The use of peat pills does not eliminate the agrotechnical rules. So, small seeds are invested in a miracle-invention shallow-centimeter from the surface, not deeper. Large seeds require deep digestion - five centimeters.

The number of grains depends more on their value: expensive ones are placed in separate pots, more affordable - several in one, and then thinned out, leaving the strongest sprout. However, even without magic tablets, it is widely used, and it is more necessary in this case.
