Overview of the new generation of the car "Nissan Murano"

Most recently, the Japanese concern Nissan presented to the public a new, second generation of the legendary off-road vehicle Nissan Murano. In the second generation, developers were able to implement a new line of engines, a modified chassis with a full drive system. But still wide rolls and a new audio system for 11 speakers slightly spoil the picture of the modern crossover. However, these are trifles in comparison with the excellent design and technical characteristics of the restyling car. So, let's take a closer look at the new Nissan Murano.

Appearance

The design of the novelty in comparison with its predecessor became more sportive. Having saved several native body lines, Nissan Murano in 2013 borrowed some details from another crossover - Nissan Kashkay. Despite the small plagiarism, the designers managed to create an original and quite attractive SUV. The second generation of the crossover has acquired a new lighting technology in front and behind, a modern bumper, smoothly turning into front fenders, round fog lights, and also many other small things. In general, if you compare the novelty with the predecessor, which was issued five years ago, Nissan Murano evolved from a purely sporting to a more presentable business car.

Interior

The interior also underwent changes and became even more luxurious. This is evidenced by aluminum inserts in the cabin, an updated dashboard, as well as a modified central console, which now boasts the presence of multifunction control buttons. As for upholstery materials, the manufacturer decided to slightly extend the color range. Now in different trim levels the buyer can buy a car with expensive leather upholstery in black or beige.

Nissan Murano: engine performance

As you know, this model of the Japanese crossover was initially equipped with one gasoline engine. This time the manufacturer decided not to experiment with the technical specifications and simply increased the power and volume of the motor. So, in the new generation of the car, engineers were able to significantly reduce the coefficient of friction of moving parts of the engine, thereby reducing the noise level. The whole engine block design was updated, which allowed the developers to increase the engine power by 18 horsepower. The torque thus also increased, and now this figure is 334 instead of the previous 318 Nm. Thus, the total power of the renewed engine on the Nissan Murano increased to 252 horsepower with a working volume of 3.5 liters.

Price policy

The novelty will be delivered to the Russian market in several trim levels, the cheapest of which will cost the buyers 1 million 585 thousand rubles. This is quite an adequate cost, especially since the Japanese managed to bring the novelty as close as possible to a business-class car. "Nissan Murano" will serve as an excellent alternative to the German off-roader "BMW X5", which costs 3 million rubles.
