Origami tiger from modules or origami format 3d

Funny crafts made of paper are known everywhere. But only the Japanese folding an ordinary paper sheet to create a figure from it, raised to the degree of art. Even the word "origami", which signifies this process, has become a household name, bearing in itself the beauty and mystery of true creativity. For the Japanese, the combination of ancient traditions and modern technologies is a natural phenomenon, touching all aspects of life. This trend has also affected paper modeling. If previously made in the origami technique tiger was flat and schematic, then using the modular origami method, it really becomes like a real volumetric toy. Probably, therefore, modular origami, jokingly called "3d origami", has become a very fashionable trend in creating paper animal models and fairy-tale characters.

Modular origami differs from the usual in that elegant figures are collected from a variety of parts (modules), each of which is composed of a separate sheet. Basically, modules have a triangular shape, but not necessarily. All parts are connected by the method of inserting one module into the other and held by the force of friction. Creating an origami tiger from modules is a complicated, painstaking task, but surprisingly fascinating. For operation it is desirable to use modules of two colors: orange and black. Then the tiger becomes brighter and more characteristic. There are many interesting, and sometimes unique schemes and instructions on how to make an origami tiger. But often, using them, it is not always possible to create an acceptable design.

The best option is first to practice modeling skills on simpler forms of modular origami, and then start doing something more serious. Content simple is the scheme of folding from paper head-mask in the form of a tiger. Apart from the fact that it's just beautiful, this headpiece can be used as a part of the New Year's costume. All the parts (modules) in this circuit are connected in a ring. One module will represent the muzzle of a tiger, the rest are needed to hold the mask on the head.

In order to fold the headgear-mask of the origami tiger from the modules, it is necessary to make three squares from a sheet of A4- sized orange paper . In addition, they will need another square with a length and width of 19 centimeters. It is desirable that all sheets are painted on one side only. Further, each of their three large squares is folded in half along the diagonal, and the upper and lower corners are bent to the center of the figure, after which the workpiece is turned over. The upper part of the part is lowered to the central horizontal, and the lower part, on the contrary, rises with the pulling of the rear triangles outwards. The lower corner is folded so that its top is in the center of the figure. Similar actions are performed with the upper corner. All three ready-made modules are connected in one band. The muzzle of the tiger origami from the modules will be the middle part.

A triangle forms from the remaining small square, and then it bends in half. The lateral angles bend towards the middle, but so that they do not reach it. Sharp corners are lowered - these are ears. The straight angle needs to be bent so that the fold line passes from one ear to the other and after that the workpiece is turned over. The head is attached to the middle module of the mask base. Eyes, nose and strips on the head are performed by the technique of application. After connecting all the details in the ring, the origami tiger mask of the modules is ready.

Even the creation of such a simple origami model requires special concentration and patience, but at the same time this kind of creativity activates the work of both hemispheres of the brain, being an excellent development tool.
