Organized the correct diet of children up to a year.

The role of proper nutrition for children up to a year is difficult to overestimate. Grafted at this age food habits will help the child not only to develop fully, but also to avoid the problems of the XXI century - obesity in the future.

It is sometimes very difficult to properly organize the diet of children up to a year. Good grandmothers insist on their eating habits, when, starting from the age of two weeks, the baby was given a drop of juice. The Internet offers a variety of complementary schemes, and the pediatrician and family doctor are stumped with completely opposite advice on the nutrition of the baby. Not surprisingly, in such a situation, parents are lost.

It should be remembered, the diet of children under one year is divided into two large categories: food in the period of 0-6 months and meals in the period of 6-12 months.

How to feed a child in the period of 0-6 months?

After the birth of the baby, it is immediately applied to the chest. This is a completely justified step: the baby feels his mother's warmth, and the mother - his own child. Such action on the part of doctors "launches" in the mother's body a magical process - the production of hormones of prolactin and oxytocin, which allow to adjust the production of breast milk. As WHO rightly points out, breast milk is an invaluable source of food in the 0-6 month period. It contains all the components necessary for development, which are the basis of a baby's diet up to 6 months.

Breast milk is not the only component of nutrition in this period. For various reasons, a baby can be given a mixture-based diet.

Artificial feeding can be represented by both adapted and unadapted mixtures. Adapted include all mixtures of industrial production, to unadapted - 5% mixture of goat or cow milk with semolina. And if the baby was assigned artificial feeding, then the mixture is added water or children's tea. This is explained by the fact that, unlike breast milk, the mixture is food in its pure form. Therefore, the baby must be doped.

How to feed a child in the period of 6-12 months?

By the age of six months the child is already ready to switch to "adult" nutrition. Such a transition is called "complementary feeding". As a rule, for a toddler, the lure begins a month earlier.

Lure baby can begin with both vegetable purees, and with porridge. The decision on where to start feeding is taken by the parents after consulting the pediatrician. If the baby develops according to the average indicators, then the introduction of complementary foods is carried out both with the help of cereals, and with the help of vegetables. If the baby suffers from constipation, then vegetable mashed potatoes are preferred. In case of shortage of weight the pediatrician appoints porridges.

A month after the introduction of vegetable purees and cereals, you can start to introduce fruit purees or meat, cottage cheese, fermented milk products and other products. The stages of introduction of new products in the baby's menu can be visually reflected in the table of nutrition of children up to the year compiled by the pediatrician and parents.

The supplementary feeding table for children under one year of breastfeeding should include groups of basic products, namely: cereals and bakery products, vegetables and fruits, a group of dairy and meat products, a group of fats.

The first group - cereals and bakery products - are included in the diet of the baby on different months. So, porridge (corn, buckwheat, rice) can be prescribed from 5 months. But cookies and bagels should be postponed until 9 months. Vegetables can also be included from 5 months, but acquaintance with fruits and juices is postponed until 7 months. A group of meat and dairy products is introduced from the age of 7 to the pediatrician. A group of fats (vegetable oils and butter) is prescribed by a pediatrician, depending on the physiological development of the child.

It should be noted that for babies receiving artificial feeding, the table of nutrition of children under one year undergoes some changes. So, water or children's tea are offered from the moment of introduction of a dairy mix.

Under strict prohibition.

The diet of children under one year excludes the introduction of honey, products containing caffeine and preservatives, spices (except parsley and dill), pepper and salt, nuts, margarine. In addition, under strict prohibition are such methods of food processing, as roasting, smoking, pickling and salting.

Every parent should know that the introduction of complementary foods into the diet of children up to the year is carried out only by the pediatrician on the basis of the child's physical condition. Therefore, the table of complementary feeding of children up to a year can and should be agreed with a doctor observing the child from birth.
