Non-alcoholic beer: harm or benefit?

Most people who use non-alcoholic beer justify it by the fact that it, unlike alcohol-containing beverages, does not have a harmful effect on the body. Is this really so or is it just an advertising campaign to attract customers?

The composition of a nonalcoholic beer is similar to a common foam drink. The drink contains both beneficial substances for the human body, represented by carbohydrates, proteins, trace elements and vitamins, and elements that are detrimental to health: foam stabilizers, which cause diseases of the digestive tract and cardiovascular system. If the composition of a nonalcoholic beer is completely identical to an ordinary drink, then what is their difference actually? And the differences are only in the level of alcohol content: ordinary beer contains up to 15%, non-alcoholic beer up to 1.5%.

Nonalcoholic beer - harm or benefit?

In the media very often flashes information that physicians and scientists have identified the benefits of non-alcoholic beer on the cardiovascular system. Scientists of the "Land of the Rising Sun" concluded that the use of this drink can reduce the risk of developing cancer cells. Similar conclusions were obtained by conducting an experiment on experimental mice, which were divided into two subgroups. Both subgroups of mice were injected, which included very strong carcinogenic substances (under their influence, cancerous tumors were formed). But the only difference was that the first subgroup of mice used ordinary water, when the second group - nonalcoholic beer. The results were stunning, the mice that consumed nonalcoholic beer have immunity much more resistant to carcinogens than rodents drinking simple water.

But is non-alcoholic beer so useful? Of course, no. Despite all the assurances of the producers that the consumption of this drink does not have a negative effect on the body, this is another myth. First, the abuse of beer, even if it contains a minimum of% of alcohol, is the main cause of alcoholism. In many publications, you can see information that the use of beer prevents the spread of alcoholism among the population. In fact, beer alcoholism is much more serious than abuse of stronger spirits.

The second negative consequence of the use of this drink is that men are slowing the production of the hormone testosterone. This leads to the fact that the body begins to be active women's hormones that promote breast enlargement, and also suppress libido. Women who drink non-alcoholic beer in their diet, on the contrary, suffer from a high content of testosterone in the body, which causes growth in the male type of facial hair, deterioration of the voice and development of infertility.

There is also an opinion that the use of non-alcoholic beer by pregnant women has no effect on the development of the fetus. This is one of the most serious mistakes of young mothers. One of the most common diseases in infants caused by drinking alcoholic beverages during pregnancy by moms is epilepsy. Do not experiment on the health of your future baby, because it is in your hands.

To use this drink or better to refrain from it - everyone should decide for himself. In case of a positive decision, one can recommend one - get the best non-alcoholic beer. Many agree that non-alcoholic beer of foreign origin taste better than a drink made by domestic breweries. But it should be remembered that the price for foreign products will be slightly higher than for domestic goods. Do not skimp on your health!
