Compote of apples. Ideal drink for the whole family

Compote - a favorite drink of many people since childhood. Some people associate it with trips to relatives - well, whose grandmother did not cook for a beloved grandson or granddaughter a delicious compote of apples or cherries? Many are accustomed to prepare this drink from fruits and berries, which have been grown by own hand in the dacha section, and some prefer to combine in it, both fresh fruit and dried ones. An example of such a sweet drink can serve as a compote of apples and dried apricots, loved by many for its unique and unique taste.

We begin to prepare compote from apples. His recipe is pretty simple. But the most important thing is that with this sweet drink in many cases you can experiment without fear of spoiling the final product. You will add dried fruit or berries of dogrose to compote of apples - the recipe becomes different, and the drink acquires new colors and significantly changes the taste.

The main thing to remember is that when making compote, do not be afraid to fantasize. For example, if you know that your family adores not only apples, but also strawberries or black currants, you can add a small amount of favorite berries to the compote. Close and dear to you people with pleasure will enjoy a tasty and useful drink from their favorite berries and fruits.

It is best to prepare compote from fresh apples, as they contain a whole range of vitamins (pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin, vitamins A, C, B1, B2 and B6) and microelements (sulfur, sodium, magnesium, copper, potassium, Phosphorus and, of course, iron).

To prepare a compote of apples, we take the recipe for a classic first. Well washed apples should be cleaned and remove sepals and stems. Then the apples should be cut into four, six or eight pieces and the core removed. You can also divide each apple in half, cut out the core, and then cut them into thin circles. After that, apples must be immersed in cold water, having previously added a little vinegar (a teaspoon per liter of water) or citric acid (enough 5 grams for the same amount of water). This is done so that apples do not darken in the air. After all the fruits are cut, we put a pot of water (one half liter of water should be taken half a kilo of fruit) and apples on the fire and, as soon as the water begins to boil, add sugar to it (at the rate of one glass of sugar per volume of water from two to Four liters) depending on your taste.

After the compote boils again, stir and hold it on low heat for another half a minute. Then the pan should be removed from the hot plate, cover the compote with a dense lid and let it brew for half an hour. After that, it can be poured into another container and cooled. Chilled compote of apples is incredibly tasty and aromatic.

If you depart a little from the "classic" recipe, then the taste of apple compote can be changed dramatically or, at a minimum, extend its taste qualities to several "fruit and berry octaves" with the help of both fresh products and dried fruits. Thus, the drink will no longer bear the ordinary name "compote of apples", the recipe of which you got from distant ancestors. You can invent your own "own" drink, which will be much more useful and tastier than juices and drinks, which can be found on the shelves of grocery stores.

Do not forget that apple compote can be used as a vitamin remedy for a number of diseases. For example, its medicinal properties are used for atherosclerosis, kidney, liver and bladder diseases. But it must also be remembered that when exacerbating pancreatitis, gastritis or peptic ulcer, compote of apples is contraindicated.

In general, apple compote is ideal for replenishing the body with a large number of nutrients and vitamins.
