Mental connection: a simple coincidence or a miracle?
Scientists from Princeton conducted an entertaining experiment. Sitting in a cozy room two interlocutors, they invited them to talk with each other. While one of them raised an exciting topic, the latter listened attentively. This dialogue took place under the strict supervision of the FMRI apparatus (functional magnetic resonance imaging), which scanned the brain of both participants. After receiving the pictures of the study, the researchers found that the activity of the various parts of the brain (which was determined by the degree of blood flow to one or another region) was practically identical for the narrator and listener.
In carrying out the following similar experiments, it was possible to find out that if the narrator listened inattentively, then the identity of the activity of brain cells was minimal. When the narrator spoke a language unknown to the listener, the neurons of the interlocutors did not harmonize with each other at all.
How the mental link works at this level is still a mystery. A little bit of the secret can only be a modest study in the field of telepathy, which, incidentally, some scholarly slopes consider charlatanism.
However, let us return to simpler examples, where the mental connection is demonstrated at an elementary level. In everyday life, people close to each other do not ask: "Will you have coffee?". This question is reduced to one word: "Coffee?". And when the questioner gets an answer: "Yes, and one sugar" - he immediately becomes clear what kind of coffee his interlocutor wants. In this short dialogue, the extra lexical fragments that everyone keeps in their heads, literally uttering them telepathically, are missing.
And so we can conclude that the mental connection is a psychosocial phenomenon that can be developed to a certain level by means of emotional feelings to another person.
Mentality is still an unexplored area of human psychology. However, it is already successfully used by marketers. In many large corporations, advertising agents are trained in such a fairly new sales technique as neurolinguistic programming (NLP), in the foundations of which were the principles of a mental connection in a duet with a light hypnosis of a potential buyer.
But let science continue to solve its riddles, and you can now check this phenomenon on yourself. Mark the time and try to think hard about the person you care about most, send him hugs and kisses or even words, phrases and ideas, and then ask him what he felt at that moment.
