Mazda CX-9 - sport utility vehicle

The premiere of the pre-production Mazda CX-9 occurred at the New York Auto Show in the spring of 2006. The first sales started in 2007 in North America. Later the car appeared on the markets of countries of South America, Saudi Arabia, Australia. At that time, the Japanese concern did not plan to sell its products with us, but their plans changed due to the serious growth of the domestic market.

For the rear passengers there is a comfortable sofa with armrest. There is enough legroom with a reserve, there is even an individual microclimate adjustment unit, which consists of two regulators. With the raised seats of the third row, the luggage compartment volume is only 267 liters, and with the folded up it is increased to 928 liters. Characteristics

Under the hood of the model delivered to the domestic market is a 277-horsepower V6 engine with a volume of 3.7 liters. Taking into account the mass of 2 tons for quick acceleration, one should not hope, and this solid car does not need it. The reserve capacity is quite enough for dynamic overtaking on the track. In many respects it is a merit of a 6-speed automatic box with a function of manual switching of speeds. She quickly finds the necessary gear, and the switching itself takes place without jerks, gently and smoothly.

On the road

On high-quality road surface, the car rides like a glove. There is no lateral acceleration, despite the large mass of the Mazda CX-9. In urban conditions, the car behaves predictably and understandably thanks to the excellent tuning of the suspension. On the unevenness affects the sports component of the car, so the passengers begin to shake. Guilty of this 20-inch wheels with tires 245/50. But even this does not spoil the general pleasure of driving.

At a speed of over 120 km / h, insufficient information is provided for the steering wheel. A small effort is lost when passing through the turns at medium speed, and the steering wheel is noticeably "empty". In addition, it should be said about the insufficient noise reduction of the bottom and wheel arches, which is a problem for the entire model range of the Mazda concern, as well as for many other Japanese manufacturers. In the domestic market, the cost of the Mazda CX-9 is about 1.7 million rubles. As an option, a hatch with electric drive is available for an additional 25,000 rubles. As for the three-zone climate control, the seven-seat interior, the audio system with 10 speakers and an amplifier, the electric front seats, leather interior, a full electric package, airbags and various security systems - all this is included in the basic version.
