Maxim Grishin, whose photo is shown below, was born in a city called Tambov on May 2, 1984. In sports, he comes from an army hand-to-hand combat. He served in the army in the Trans-Baikal Military District, where he was able to win everything that is possible in this sport for a soldier. Maxim has a higher education. As the athlete admits, at home he holds only supporting training, doing judo, boxing and strength training. And in those days when you should bring yourself into the optimal shape before the upcoming professional fight, he goes to the camps in Stary Oskol.

In the MMA until 2011, he played at heavyweight, and starting from 2012 to this day is a fighter of the light heavyweight category, because in this division he does not have to type or drive his own weight. Trains under the leadership of Alexander Michkov and Vladimir Voronov. Represents the club Akhmat Fight Club. Spent 28 professional fights, of which 22 won. In addition to MMA, our hero also conducted one professional fight in accordance with the rules of kickboxing, in which he was able to win. Also Maxim Grishin is a fighter who is also known for his constant sparring partner during the performances of the famous Fedor Emelianenko.

Start

In mixed battles Maxim Grishin debuted at the World Pankration Championship 2008. Already in his debut fight, he was able to win against Gela Getsadze with a judging decision. However, already in the second fight of the championship, the Russian ceded ahead of time, missing a painful reception, to his compatriot Bage Agayev.

The Heavy Path

After such an ambiguous career start for a professional Maxim Grishin won from Magomed Umarov, lost to Shane Rosario and Joaquim Ferreira and again issued two victorious fights for himself. However, in December 2009 he lost to David Baziak at the tournament KSW 12. After that, Grishin won three wins in a row, and in one case - over the widely known fighter Bellator and UFC Alexander Volkov. A successful series of Russians was interrupted by the late Georgian Guram Gugenishvili in the spring of 2011.

In the fall of 2011 Maxim Grishin, whose biography is full of ups and downs in the sport, was given the right to compete for the temporary belt of heavyweight champion M-1. His rival was American Kenny Garner. The battle took place with the advantage of Garner. In the fifth round, the Russian missed several heavy blows and was forced to give a signal of surrender. Thus, Maxim lost the opportunity to become a temporary champion and lost a technical knockout.

By the way, after this fight, both soldiers were in hospital, and the loser Maxim was discharged from it even earlier than the victorious American. In this case, Grishin was diagnosed with a brain concussion. In fairness, it should be said that Max in this fight came to replace the injured Gugenishvili and flew half the globe in order to fight with Garner. Nevertheless, the lack of full-fledged training and acclimatization gave their negative results in the form of an early defeat.

Continuation of career

After such a loud defeat Grishin decided to move to the category of down. His first fight in the new weight division was on May 16, 2012. Opposed him Swede Joachim Christensen. Maxim was able to win a confident victory on points. After that, the battles were knocked out by the Americans William Hill and Ray Lopez. However, on this Maxim Grishin - a fighter with an iron character - did not stop. He continued to perform and won a series of seven wins in a row.
