Magomed Magomedov: biography, achievements

Recently, there has been a steady trend throughout the world towards the universalization of martial arts. All this led to the fact that the so-called mixed martial arts became very popular among sports fans . The main difference from classic martial arts is that they use widely both the shock technical arsenal and wrestling actions. Each fighter himself is free to choose which style to give preference to during the battle. The Russian school of mixed martial arts has given the sports world many fine fighters. About one of them, the Dagestani soldier Magomed Magomedov, and will be discussed in this article.

Childhood

It's been a long time since that in Dagestan, sport number one is a struggle. Despite all attempts to create from Makhachkala "Anji" a football super club with attraction of world-size stars, various single combats occupy a dominant place in the life of any inhabitant of this small republic.

December 25, 1991 in the small Dagestan town of Khasavyurt the future champion Magomedov Magomed Zhamaludinovich appeared. Practically all Dagestan teenagers in childhood are engaged in wrestling. For someone it remains just a child's hobby, someone carries love to this sport through life. It so happened with Magomed. Excellent sports data of the teenager were visible to the naked eye. With a relatively small growth, Magomed already had an excellent physique at the time of adolescence. Parents also did not object to the sports hobbies of his son.

The first steps in sports

At the age of twelve, Magomed was in a sports boarding school "Five sides of the world", specializing in various types of martial arts. The first mentor of the promising junior was Alexander Buryak, a figure for the Dagestani sports cult. It was this coach who brought up not one strong athlete. And the fact that Magomed Magomedov came to this coach was an undeniable success, an opportunity for further sports growth. Just under the leadership of Alexander Buryak, the first sporting successes came to Magomed. A number of victories were won at the regional level, the young athlete began to leave already at the Russian level. Already at that time, in a young enough age for an athlete, sports specialists noted a rather aggressive manner of fighting, a sharp-cutting style of a guy. They said that Magomed Magomedov was a tiger. This nickname entrenched for the guy and could not be better suited for him, characterized his style of fighting.

Sports career

True glory came to Magomed Magomedov in 2012. Twenty-one-year-old athlete by that time trained under the leadership of Rasul Arslanbekov. Was won at the championship of Russia in mixed martial arts. This success did not pass by the coaches of the Russian national team. In the same 2012, Magomed Magomedov is already a debutant of the European championship. And again the triumph: the young representative of the national team becomes the champion of Europe in mixed martial arts.

Professional Sports

Success at the amateur level did not go unnoticed in the professional milieu of mixed martial arts. And one year after the triumph at the European Championship, in 2013, the Fighting Eagls club, performing in the M-1 Global series, signs a full-fledged professional contract with a promising athlete. The debut in M-1 took place on February 27, 2013. The opponent of Magomed Magomedov was the Polish sportsman Damian Stasyak. The battle ended with a confident victory of the Russian athlete.

In the coaching staff of Magomedov, another coach appeared. They became Marat Gafurov. Magomedov's professional career is very successful. In the following battles, our athlete was defeated by such fighters as Ukrainians Anton Vasiliev and Arthur Kashcheev, Brazilians Yuri Maya and Bruno Diaz, Georgians Paata Robakidze. As a result, Magomed Magomedov won the right to fight for the title of temporary champion in the version of ACB at the bantamweight. Contender Magomedov became a Russian Peter Ian. Persistent struggle did not work. By a decision of all three judges, the victory was unanimously awarded to Magomed Magomedov.

Prospects

If you analyze the average age of the current champions in mixed martial arts, you can see an interesting detail: mostly they are athletes who are already thirty years old. And such world-renowned stars as Werdum, Cormier, Lawler and even became champions closer to the age of forty. Given the young enough age for mixed martial arts (Magomedu at the moment just 24 years old), we can safely say that Magomed Magomedov's career in the professional ring is just beginning. And the level of results, shown now, gives hope for a large number of victories. So there is no doubt, Magomed Magomedov - a fighter who has great prospects, and the title of interim champion is not the last in his career.
