Mark Griffiths: filmography and personal life

The name of Mark Griffiths for a long time was known only to a narrow circle of admirers of his talent. The heightened public interest in the work of the director and screenwriter arose in 2012 due to his loud divorce from Gillian Anderson - charming agent Scully from the "X-Files". But Mark Griffith's films deserve to be talked about separately from scandals in a secular get-together.

The beginning of the cinematographic career

The director's debut of the graduate of Stanford and the school-studio at the University of California Mark Griffiths was the comedy "Strong bodies", released in 1984. By that time, he already had experience working on scenarios for television series.

Two years later, Mark Griffiths wrote a new story and filmed a continuation of the film called "Strong body-2." Deciding to pause in literary activity, he completely focuses on directing. A few years later, from the pen of Griffiths there will be scripts for the tapes "Ultraviolet", "Hot Running" and some others.

Mark Griffiths: personal life

From 2006 to 2012, Griffiths had a love relationship with Gillian Anderson, familiar to the domestic audience for the title role in the series "The X-Files." In the actor's environment there were rumors of an imminent wedding, which was never to be held. By the time of the separation, the couple had two sons Oscar and Felix growing up together.

The reason for the break was that the failed spouses preferred not to be divulged. However, foreign media hastened to blame Anderson for lesbian predilections, because of which, allegedly, she was thrown by Mark Griffiths, whose films both before and after the divorce from Gillian were mostly devoted to the love between a man and a woman.

Today, the director does not advertise the episodes of his life outside the cinema and almost does not participate in secular events. It is known that he, along with his wife, actress Louise Baker and two children live in Vancouver (Canada).
