Marina Razbezhkina: biography, works, documentary film school

About Marina Razbezhkina speak a little, but the contribution of this woman to documentary cinema can not be underestimated - this is confirmed by awards. Of course, this director should learn from someone who decided to master the world of cinema.

short biography

Marina Razbezhkina was born in Kazan, on July 17, 1948. Her mother and nurse raised her. Marina's mother, despite being from an unsecured peasant family, was addicted to reading early. The books became her bridge, which helped her to move to the level of a new social circle where one could communicate in one language with the technocrats of that time. Mom chose the profession of an aviation engineer.
Of course, Marina Razbezhkina absorbed this passion for books. At six she could already write the word "intellect", not making mistakes, which was very proud of her mother. Only the nurse did not really approve of reading and often swore about it.
However, this only increased Marina's attraction to books. There is nothing strange in that, as a result, Razbezhkina chose the philological faculty at Kazan State University for herself, having received a diploma of a linguist-Russianist.

After graduation, Marina found a job in the most remote region of Tatarstan and went to work as an ordinary teacher. Having worked there for a while, Razbezhkina started journalism. At this time her mother dies, and the father strongly recommends moving to Moscow, immediately Marina is called to work in the Moscow newspapers, but she decides to stay.

The first steps on the creative path

The Kazan film studio invites Marina to work as a screenwriter in 1986 - this can be called a starting point in her development in filmmaking. Her career in Kazan is developing rapidly, and since 1989, she begins to make films.

1990 was an ambiguous one. A commission from Moscow comes to Tatarstan to deal with the sudden strike of creative people, and layoffs began. Marina was also among the victims. The commission considered Marina Razbezhkin, whose films were so valued in Tatarstan, "insolvent." But Alexander Pavlov got acquainted with her works, and he liked them so much that he even invited Marina to work in his studio "Sovremennik".

Moving to Moscow, a new round in the career of Razbezhkina

Having moved to Moscow, Marina Razbezhkina did not sit idle. Her name immediately receives three applications from the Goskino and the Sovremennik studio, but the films are dedicated to its edge, so Marina constantly needs to move from place to place. It was finally "fixed" in Moscow only in 1997. One of the most outstanding films in Razbozhkina's career was born in 1991 under the title "End of the Road." The original idea was to make a film about people in the Mari Republic, in a small village in which they lived out their days, freeing themselves from the zone. The name seemed very suitable. But almost getting to the place, at the station Marina with the operator learn that the whole village was liquidated in connection with the construction of the hydroelectric power station and further flooding. Engineers made a mistake
In their calculations - the water did not reach the village, and people were evacuated. They learned that there was an old woman left on the outskirts, they decided to shoot about her. Especially since she was an interesting person - her name was Zina's woman, she lived completely alone, and her view of the world was biblical. Shooted all year round: summer was replaced in autumn, autumn - in winter, but everything remained the same - around this apocalypse. As a result, this film was invited to IDFA (Amsterdam Film Festival). In 1997, when Marina finally moved to Moscow, she was asked to take part in the film, dedicated to the Russian capital, entitled "100 films about Moscow". Work on this project called her Sawa Kulish. Here every small film was devoted to an interesting place in Moscow.

Razbozhkina's feature film

Marina Razbezhkina has a rich filmography. Many films deserve special attention. So, the film "Yar" marks the departure of Razbozhkina from documentary cinema to the feature film, but only for a while. The screenplay for the painting is the story of Sergei Yesenin. Few people know him as a prose writer, and his prose is often criticized.

However, Marina Razbezhkina was not afraid to undertake such work. The name at first seems to be simple, but if we connect it with paganism, then the yore from time immemorial is a mysterious place that is in some deepening, this is the temple where the sun god is worshiped - Yarile.

Ordinary peasants hold onto their small Homeland, and only the main character of the film - Karev - decides to part with it. For this he bears a severe punishment in the form of the death of his relatives.

Documentary Film School

In 2008, with the assistance of Unarova Michael, the school of cinema - the studio of Marina Razbezhkina opens. The main task of the organization is to teach to see reality as it is. Graduates of the school have the opportunity to exhibit their diploma work at film festivals.

So, young directors have put out about 15 works at the festival "Artdokfest" - this is the main festival in the field of documentary cinema in our country. The work entitled "Message to Man" deserved special recognition among critics and spectators of the festival.

All this is the merit of our heroine. Marina Razbezhkina's school conducts both theoretical and practical classes. In this movie art
Is united with the documentary theater. Marina Razbezhkina spends a lot of effort on students. The school of documentary cinema is always open to talents.

The results of this experiment are very successful and interesting. To enter, you must perform a creative task. The successful completion of this test can provide free training (usually two free places), for all other classes paid.

Disciples Razbozhkina
