Charming butterfly stencil on the wall with your own hands

Despite the fact that now in the building stores you can find any cover for the walls (some do not even call the wallpaper a wallpaper), a person unsatisfied necessarily pokes his tongue and utters: consumer goods and boredom! And he will not sin against the truth. In fact, much of what is on the shelves, this is by no means an exclusive author's design. Therefore, we take the initiative on ourselves and boldly show our creative talents.

And that it was something to build on, it does not hurt to get acquainted with other people's experience. For example, take the chic butterfly stencils on the wall. Photos that are abundant can be found in stores, magazines, even the most skeptical skeptic will be delighted.

What kind of decoration ideas are not realized, and everywhere the main decoration is a gentle fluttering creature: small and large, colored and monochrome, voluminous and luminous. There are funny cute moths for the children's room, there are strict touchy-beauties for the living room, solved in a laconic Japanese style.

Manufacturers, having felt the interest of a wide audience, began to produce ready-made butterfly stencils for wall decoration. You can buy even the most exotic winged guest and settle at home. Even the instructions for applying to the kit are attached.

But this is not our option. We decided to stay a little artists ourselves and, rolling up our sleeves, transform the room. So enough to stare at the factory "beauties", create a stencil of butterflies on the wall with their own hands.

To do this, remember the skills that were instilled in the first lessons of work in the school. We take paper, better color, so it's easier to work for beginners. Sheet carefully fold in half. Now we begin to draw out the contour of the insect with a pencil. But we do not draw the whole "carcass", but only half of it. Then, without unbending the sheet, we cut out the scissors and discard the core. Unbend the paper. Here it is - a stencil of butterflies on the wall. With our hands, we have created, though the simplest, but still unique pattern.

If you do not like such a primitive way, then you can start your knowledge in Photoshop. In the program we create a document with the image of different winged creatures, then draw the outlines. Ideally, if you can keep a wonderful openwork wings. The resulting blanks are printed on the printer. Stencil of butterflies on the wall with their own hands is gently carved. For such fine work, it is better to use a well-sharpened clerical knife or elegant nail scissors.

Now we have templates. It remains to come up with how we use them: whether it will be a large panel on the wall or we will limit ourselves to exquisite light decor.

For further work, you will need glue (necessarily special), a paint and a sponge (we will have it instead of a brush). So, a flat pattern on the surface is applied according to the following scheme. We take the mask of the butterflies on the wall, with our own hands we glue it on our plane prepared for the "tattoo", after which we lay a thin layer of paint with a sponge. Remove the template carefully.

For three-dimensional images you will need an acrylic thick, like sour cream, putty. Instead of a sponge we arm ourselves with a spatula. The following steps are familiar to us from the previous diagram. Using a spatula, layer by layer, put the putty on the substrate, paying attention to each part of the stencil. The thickness of the layer in one, maximum three millimeters will be enough. Otherwise, after removing the template, you will get a very rough resemblance of stucco.

And do not be afraid to step lightly over the edges, ease will only add to your design of charm.
