The surname of Izmailov is the pseudonym of the artist, his real name is Polyak (emphasis on "o"). The future satirist was born in Moscow on May 5, 1940 in the family of a builder and an employee. A sad event in his life was the death of his father when Lyon turned three years old. The boy's education completely fell on his mother's shoulders. By the seventh grade he was a round honors pupil, but in the future interest to study was extinguished, and Lyons began to take a great interest in natural sciences.

By his education, Lyon Izmailov was a technician: after school he studied at an aviation technical school and successfully graduated in 1960. And then he told his friend that he could easily get acquainted with any girl on the dispute, and he asked the interlocutor to come up with a phrase with which he would begin his acquaintance. Boris immediately suggested: "Have you brought Feuerbach in?" They entered the store, behind the counter there was a pretty saleswoman. Lyon Izmailov approached her and whispered the question. The girl was frightened and said that they had not delivered yet, but offered to take her phone number. The artist often called Elena, and then married her.

However, at first, not everything was smooth in the Izmaylov family: after three years after the marriage, they divorced with their wife, because they could not get along. But after a while they still realized that they can not live without each other and again signed.
