Medication "Lodoz" (tablets) is an antihypertensive drug of a combined type. Active ingredients: hydrochlorothiazide and bisoprolol. The latter belongs to the category of highly selective beta ₁ adrenoblockers, which do not possess membrane-stabilizing and sympathomimetic activity. The mechanism of action of this component on the soil of arterial hypertension, primarily due to a decrease in plasma renin and a decrease in heart rate. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic in the thiazide category. The activity of this component is associated with the inhibition of movement into the blood from the renal tubules of sodium ions.

Method of dosing

It is recommended to take the medicine in the morning with food. The dosage of the drug is selected personally. The initial amount of the drug is one tablet with bisoprolol content of 2.5 mg and hydrochlorothiazide 6.25 mg. The drug is taken once a day. If the effect is insufficient, a dosage form with a content of bisoprolol 5 mg and hydrochlorothiazide 6.25 mg once is recommended. Do not prescribe medication for hypokalemia, variant angina pectoris, cardiogenic shock, arterial hypotension, under the age of eighteen.
