Such an unusual appearance, for example, is possessed by individuals belonging to a breed called Burmese snub-nosed monkey. It was discovered only recently, just 6 years ago, in 2010. These monkeys are very thin structure of the body and body. This species was found in northern Burma, subsequently it turned out that such a monkey inhabits only in these places. The main feature of this breed is not only that the lips of the monkey are large in size. In addition, there is another characteristic feature - because of the peculiar structure of the nose, these monkeys often sneeze during the rain.

Lips red in monkeys

In addition to individuals with large and elongated lips, there is also occasionally a monkey with red lips. Above it has been said about the reddish-red coloration of one breed of primates - a chimpanzee. However, a monkey with red lips is less common. This breed is called bonobo, or dwarf chimpanzee. These monkeys live in Central Africa, most often they can be found in dense tropical forests. Their number is very small, it is about 10 thousand individuals. This species has so far been little studied, it was discovered relatively recently, in 1929, and already in the 1960s it became known to the general public.

These monkeys do not differ much in size from the chimpanzee common, but they have a significantly lower in density physique. Their skin is usually black. It is the monkeys of the bonobo breed that are distinguished by their red lips. The weight of the adult body is 43 kg for males and 33 kg for females.
