Leap in length. Two different types

This sport requires not only excellent jumping, but also excellent sprinter qualities. Now it is part of the modern Olympic program, and it originates from the ancient games of Ancient Greece. Men began to represent him at the Olympics since 1896, and women joined after the Second World War - in 1948. In addition, it is included in several sports mnogobory.

The athlete's task is to make a long jump from the take-off and reach the greatest length in the horizontal plane at the landing place. Such competitions are held in the special sector according to strictly established rules, taking into account the technical regulated organizational aspects. The jump in length is carried out in several stages. At the first stage, a sprint run takes place along the path, then there is a push away from the board with one foot, and the exercise ends with a landing in a pit with sand. At the end of the board there is a mark, from which the range measurement begins. This is done regardless of the location of the jolt and to the nearest touch left on the sand. It should be noted that from the metering line to the beginning of the pit there should be a distance of five meters, and to the end of the sector with sand - at least ten meters.

A jump in length of this type differs in style and technique of execution. There are three most common types:

1. "In step" - the most simple technique, used mainly by amateurs and during schooling at school in physical education classes. This elementary variant looks like joining the jogging leg to the masthead through the side with simultaneous retraction of the shoulders. It is worth noting, despite the simplicity, this type of jump is used by some modern venerable athletes.

2. "Bending" - the most common among professional athletes is a long jump, requiring good coordination. In flight, the jumper deflects the torso in the lower back, thus making an invisible pause before the immediate landing. The first time such a style was demonstrated in the 1920s. Now most often it is used by athletes.

3. "Scissors" - the most difficult jump in length. It requires the highest strength and speed qualities of the athlete. It is a continuation of the flight in flight, while the jumper can make in the air 3.5, 2.5 or 1.5 steps. This type of optimal performance can only be performed by high-class athletes who have achieved a lot in this sport.

Jumping from the spot

This type of exercise at the moment does not apply to professional sports events. In Soviet times, it was mandatory in the implementation of TRP standards. Now he is practiced only in physical education classes in secondary and senior classes and at various amateur competitions or sports events.

The jump in length from the place consists of four stages: preparation for a push, a push, a flight phase and a landing. From the outside it looks like a fairly simple task, but in fact, in order to do the exercise correctly and with good results, it will take a lot of time to practice.
