About every peripheral gadgets of the company A4Tech literally every user of a personal computer knows. The brand has earned itself an enviable popularity thanks to an intelligent approach to the development and release of its devices. One of the main components of the success of the company's gadgets is the use of innovative technologies coupled with a high ergonomic component. In addition, the good half of the brand's devices are distinguished by a democratic price.

The company's lineup includes a lot of various peripherals: mice, keyboards, webcams and other gadgets designed for the mass consumer. But among a heap of other devices (very intelligent ones), it is worth noting separately a series of manipulators X7 (mouse A4Tech XL-750BH and keyboard G700 / 800). It (series) includes high-performance development, i.e. gaming gadgets, where the main emphasis is on functionality and ergonomics.

So, the heroine of today's review is the A4Tech XL-750BH, a game mouse with an attractive set of features and good ergonomics. Consider the main characteristics of the model, denote the advantages and disadvantages of the gadget, taking into account the opinion of experts in this field and feedback from ordinary owners of the device.

Contents of delivery

The gaming mouse for the PC goes in an attractive trapezoid box of medium cardboard density. The design is limited to dark stylistics, then several contrasting and successfully infused notes add beauty and originality to it. On the front side you can see the most remarkable characteristics of the A4Tech XL-750BH, and there is also the face of the famous spy Sam Fisher from the game Splinter Cell. In addition, the box has a frontal cutout, where the blister can be more or less detailed look at the mouse itself.

The back side and the ends contain a detailed specification for the device with a list of basic features, along with the corresponding pictograms. Among them is the support of proprietary software, where the user is provided with an exclusive configuration of the gadget "by itself," a built-in 64 KB memory for current profiles, work with a laser sensor,

Contents of the box:

  • Mouse wired A4Tech XL-750BH;
  • Spare soles (5 sets);
  • A disk with drivers and proprietary software;
  • user's manual;
  • Guarantee ticket.

The equipment is standard, but unlike similar gadgets, this model is additionally equipped with spare soles made of wear-resistant Teflon, which, judging by the feedback of users, made many owners happy with the mouse. This largely adds to the "desktop life" of the device and its versatility to almost any surface.

Appearance

Gaming mice for the PC series X7 have not only an ergonomic body of rapid form, but also have an attractive appearance. The gold coating on the "back" is made in the form of a fantasy creature that looks like a race of predators from a popular series of movies and games, or protoss from the StarCraft universe.

The body itself consists of high-quality and durable plastic with a black color. The coating is soft-touch technology - soft and pleasant. On the left side you can see a rubberized textured insert for a more comfortable grip. Some users in their reviews complain about the ribbing of this place, as well as ergonomic specificity, but most consider this point to be quite appropriate.

Ergonomics

Like other best laser mouse brands, the XL-750BH model received an excellent ergonomic component. All the functionality of the gadget is correctly located, including the "Triple Tap" key. In addition, the latter has acquired a pleasant to the touch relief surface, which makes it easy to grope it blindly.

The symmetry of the design allows you to use the mouse A4Tech XL-750BH both right-handed and left-handed, but judging by the feedback of the owners, in the right hand the gadget is noticeably more comfortable.

Controls

The upper part of the manipulator has a single plate, combined with two basic keys. On either side of it, we see narrow inserts that visually separate the side of the gadget from the top. Between the two basic keys is a wheel with a ribbed texture, which is also a button. There are also two function buttons - laser sensor adjustment and "Triple click".

In the left part, except for the rubberized insert, there is a pair of keys with a pre-set marker "Forward" and "Back". The right side is devoid of any constructive elements, and the front, as it should, has a familiar "mouse tail", which is crowned with a gold-plated USB interface.

The A4Tech XL-750BH is equipped with a highly sensitive laser sensor located in the central part of the bottom. There are four Teflon oval inserts along the perimeter. Users more than once in their reviews thank the designers for the thought out soles, which have excellent wear resistance and do not interfere with the control of the mouse on the table (smooth and clear gadget move). Also, next to one of the Teflon inserts, you can see a small interface, similar to a small button. It consists of a spring mechanism and fixes the cursor during the raising of the mouse due to the disconnection of the laser sensor.

Tests

To determine the capabilities of the gadget, several basic tests were conducted, which made it possible to show as accurately as possible the quality of the operation of the optical element. For this purpose, we used: a wooden table, a varnished surface, a glass, a mirror, a plain sheet of paper and two mouse mats (cork and standard).

The laser sensor of the A4Tech XL-750BH proved to be at its best. The maximum sensitivity (up to 3600 dpi) of the mouse provides ideal positioning values for almost every test surface chosen, whether it is a matte finish or glossy. The only thing the A4Tech XL-750BH did not cope with is a mirror and glass, but I do not think that someone will work with a manipulator on such coatings, especially if you take into account the direction of the device.

The software environment

Working with the gadget is very pleasant, there is no feeling of discomfort, even if you are migrating from specific competitors (a couple of hours and the mouse as a native). To a large extent, this was facilitated by an ergonomic body and flexible tuning of device responses, and for any needs and applications, be it a "heavy" computer game or office environments.

As for the gaming component, it's worthwhile to focus on such a useful key as "triple click", which allows you to hit with a sword / baton three times or make the same number of shots from an automatic weapon. Judging by the feedback from users, for many gamers it turned out to be extremely useful to reprogram the keys and record a variety of macro commands in the built-in memory, that is, without using computer resources.

Software

The proprietary Anti-Vibrate Oscar Editor application (available on the driver CD) provides the user with the ability to customize the weight of the gadget parameters to suit their needs. Here, you can reassign any basic and auxiliary button, and also assign it some macro command or perform a gesture action.

The additional functionality of the program allows you to enable or disable the startup utility, lock the system cover on the desktop for quick access to settings, activate / deactivate 4D Wheel mode for the wheel, adjust the horizontal scroll step and calibrate the polling frequency of the USB interface.

Software Features

If there is no desire to understand the numerous settings, then for lazy users a list of ready-made profiles is provided: office, design and several gaming. Also, you can quickly change the basic parameters (like sensitivity) with convenient sliders.

Users are well informed about the capabilities of proprietary software. To some, it seemed complicated due to specificity, and the rest without any problems mastered it. Branches of the menu and sub-items are correctly located, so there should not be any serious problems with usability.

Competitors

Brand A4Tech always breathed in the back company Logitech (sometimes vice versa). The closest competitors of our respondent are the Logitech M500 and M150 models. These computer mice (prices within 1500 rubles) also have laser optics and a similar functional set.

Models from Logitech received a more modest indicator of the number of dots per inch (M500 - 1000 dpi / M150 - 1100 dpi) with almost the same feedback. In addition, they weigh significantly less and synchronize with the PC without installing additional software.

To whom to give preference?

In general, it is very difficult to compare these two brands. It's like evaluating merits or demerits, for example, "Ferrari" and "Lamborghini." Here we are dealing with personal preferences. Like Swiss gadgets - take Logitech, trust devices from China - on the shelves of the brand A4Tech there is always a lot of smart peripherals, especially the prices for computer mice of these manufacturers (analogs) are very small spread. So here, as they say, it's a matter of taste, and some technical characteristics of each analogue do not have any critical differences.

Summarizing

The brand has produced a quality in many respects model A4Tech XL-750BH. It received an attractive and original appearance, as well as a good laser sensor with a maximum sensitivity of 3600 dpi. The latter implies an ideal positioning on all surfaces familiar to such manipulators.

In addition, the gadget has a symmetric and extremely ergonomic body, which makes it equally convenient to use it for both left-handed and right-handed people. You can also note the presence of such original features as "Triple pressing", anti-vibration technology for fixing the cursor and the function 4D Wheel (additional features for the wheel). Gamers certainly will appreciate the branded software bundled with the device - Anti-Vibrate Oscar Editor. It allows you to fully pokoldovat with the settings of the mouse and adjust everything to yourself. It is also possible, of course, to add quite a democratic price tag (about 1300 rubles) and we will get a very attractive device that is in no way inferior to other analogues.

Users are scolded about the mouse basically positive. There were no critical shortcomings at specialized forums, and if some minor shortcomings were indicated, they were lost amid a modest price. For those who are looking for the perfect periphery for their computer, then welcome to the premium segment, everything is smooth and without claims, but, naturally, expensive.
