Kudo - what kind of sport is it and why is it popular?

Kudo - what kind of sport is this, interested in many fans of martial arts? And not for nothing! After all, kudo is a purposeful system that is designed for harmonious physical and spiritual development. That is for the development of the person's personality.

Kudo: history of the sport

The foundation date for a relatively new type of martial art is 1981. It was at this time that Sensei Azuma Takashi opened his first sports hall in Sendai. In the same year, the very first kudo tournament (daido juku) was held, which was called "Hokutoki 81". Journalists responded about this sport as cruel, furious and ultra-realistic. All due to the fact that fighters who took part in competitions could use any blows by all parts of the body, as well as throws and suffocating and painful techniques. But, of course, there were limitations. Forbidden zones for blows are the groin, the back of the neck and the back.

In 1982, Azuma Takashi wrote his first textbook for amateurs and professionals. And in 1958 new offices appeared in Osaka and Tokyo on kudo. What kind of sport is this? Many athletes were surprised at first. And already in 1986 the first world championship was held.

On May 12, 2001 at the All-Japan meeting it was decided to use the word "kudo" in the name of combat combat.

How fights are going on

There are three return categories for kudo competitions:

  1. Guys and girls twelve-fifteen years.
  2. Juniors aged sixteen to seventeen.
  3. Men and women of eighteen years.

Since 2014, young children are prohibited from taking part in competitions. Usually the fight lasts three minutes - it's quite a tough sport. Kudo allows you to use all kinds of punches, legs, head, knees and elbows. In addition, painful methods and elements of struggle are allowed. During a duel, it is allowed to do an infinite number of times in a rack, called "tsuki". You can not do finishing on top of the head.

An obligatory condition of the fight is the use of a protective helmet. Women are obliged to use a breastplate. Also, you can not do without shin guards, groin on the groin, kapy and bandages for the hands.

The forbidden action is to greet each other with the fist's fists. For such an act, both athletes will immediately receive hansoku - a warning.

Basic belts and degrees of kudo

What kind of sport is it that has no special differences and parameters? In total, this martial art has ten student levels. From 10 to 5 kyu - the degree of the student, which is called "gakusei." From 4 to 1 kyu - the level of the senior student (sempai). In addition to these parameters there are also master categories. Depending on what kind of person a kyu or master's degree is, a corresponding belt is worn.

Each product has a standard width of 4 centimeters. But the length depends on the size of the human body. On each belt there is a special emblem of kudo. Student achievements are marked by stripes that are at a distance of three centimeters from the emblem.

The workshop belts are very similar to the student ones. The difference is the coloring. The master has ten dan blacks, and the student kyu are multi-colored. On each belt of the master Japanese hieroglyphs embroider the surname and name of the owner, as well as gold strips indicating the level of skill. Such products are made only in Japan at the request of the founder of kudo - Azuma Takashi.

Principles of judo judo

What kind of sport is this, in which there is no special refereeing system? During the competition, brigades are created, which consist of several judges.

Syusin (referee.) His task is to be on the tatami, lead the duel and give an assessment of the actions and techniques.

Chief side judge and three focus. Each of them sits on a chair in the corners of the tatami. Just like the referees use flags, a whistle and generally accepted gestures. The judges are obliged to ensure that every match is held according to the rules, and also safely.

The timekeeper is at the table near the tatami. It monitors the beginning and the end of the battle and, using the Japanese terminology, notifies the athletes about it.

Secretary - is at the table near the tatami and keeps a record. Declares the names of the fighters, whose turn to start the fight.

Practice of Zen

Kudoh - what kind of sport is this? The photos show amateurs that this is a martial art that is built on a subtle spiritual perception of the world. That is why when studying Daido Juku much attention is paid to the practice of Zen. This concept is deciphered as meditation or concentration. This practice helps fighters to merge the soul and body. It makes the consciousness bright, and the spirit balanced. The practice of Zen increases the effect of training several times. The bioenergetic potential is developing, which means that a person becomes more talented and capable.

To conduct a successful battle it is very important to be fearless and accurate. The application of spiritual practice helps to get rid of anger and successfully conduct battles not only on tatami, but also in life.
