Krabbe Peninsula: History, Sights, Recreation

Primorye is famous for many beautiful and unforgettable landscapes, among which the Hasan district occupies a special place. "Blue Pearl of Primorye", as the people are often called in these regions, is famous primarily for the largest in the region, the Krabbe Peninsula in the south-west, which is located on the shore of Posyet Bay. It separates the Novgorod harbor from the north from Reid Pallada bay from the south. The Krabbe Peninsula attracts both local residents and tourists from far away places of the country for recreation. In this publication we will talk about secrets and all the features of recreation in this wonderful land.

History of the peninsula

This territory was opened and became part of the country map thanks to the expedition and personally to E. Putyatin in the middle of the 19th century. In 1863 the peninsula got its name. He began to bear the name belonging to the Admiral of the Naval Ministry - N. Krabbe. During the time that was spent on the development of Primorsky Krai, Russian settlers here established a certain number of settlements. They were Korean, and lived in them about a thousand people. The sites on which the old settlements were located did not reach our days to the full, but on the coast and now you can find what remains of the old items of utensils of Chinese and Korean origin. At the moment you can look at the fanzes of Koreans who were building in the bays in this area, because they, that is important, were well preserved.

Ancient puzzles of the peninsula

To date, you can find all 48 archeological monuments that the Krabbe Peninsula is proud of. The Primorsky region has experienced many historical periods, and therefore scientists here also explore the remains of primitive sites of the Neolithic or Bronze Age (for example, the one that stands at Gakkel cape), as well as the monuments of the Iron Age (Cape of Gakkel). Up to this point, archaeologists have noted and put on the map of Krabbe about thirty settlements that operated in different eras. It is a pity, however, that a large number of historical monuments on the peninsula are unexplored today. So, the origin of the stone graves of the mountain of Degera remains mysterious, as well as the presence of stone dugouts next to them (as the researchers believe, this is most likely the remains of ritual magical stones that lie, for example, on top of the hill).

Landscape

The Krabbe Peninsula, a photo of which you can see in the article, is a group of volcanoes that died out and ceased to function approximately fifty million years ago. Its length is more than eighteen kilometers, from the north-west it starts from the top of Gakkel and ends at Cape Astafiev. The south-western part of the territory is washed by the waters of Reid Pallada Bay, and therefore this area is rocky, with steep plumb bows. In turn, the north-east is washed by shallow waters of the bay called Novgorodskaya, and the terrain here is more gently sloping with a less-than-cut relief. Thus, the activity of ancient volcanoes (especially the Deger peak) led to the formation of a large number of beautiful coastal cliffs, caves, grottoes and arches.

Agate Bay, which is located near Deger, is a unique place where you can find semiprecious stones (jasper, agate, opals, chalcedony). On the Krabbe peninsula, there are many cozy bays, in which there are wonderful beaches of sand and pebbles, and there are also many sea cliffs, grottoes, arches, bird bazaars. In addition, the territory is known for its historical and cultural monuments, the famous healing mud and semi-precious stones, the cleanest sea water and the opportunity to fish.

Ideal place for a secluded holiday

The peninsula will not become a place of congestion for travelers or a tourist paradise for those who are used to comfortable rest. However, here you can enjoy the virgin nature and stay in silence, peace and tranquility. Krabbe will amaze you by the way he is detached from the bustling civilization. The local landscape resembles the location of a fantastic movie. The majestic outlines of the northern shores in combination with a rocky uneven slope with cliffs in the south - all this is the Krabbe Peninsula. There is only one recreation center on the territory. Its name is consonant with the peninsula - "Krabbe". You can find a recreation center on the site of Agatha Bay, which is a picturesque place where semi-precious stones are found. The large territory of the base allows you to enjoy the unique nature of the peninsula.

Flora and fauna of the region

Crabbe is a place where many species of rare plants grow. According to the researchers, there are about forty of them. And most of them are species protected by the Red Book. Bay Reid Pallada is usually referred to the number of water bodies, which are assigned a high category of fish and economic use, as many species of fish come to spawn here.

Recreational resources Krabbe

In addition to the fact that the animal and plant world is so diverse on the peninsula, in the inner coves of Krabbe (mainly in the Novgorod bay) there are many sites in which the mud mud is unique due to its medicinal and cosmetic properties. It has a good effect on human health and treats skin diseases, as well as the musculoskeletal system. So rest on the Krabbe peninsula you can combine with the improvement of health, which is an additional advantage.
