Section 1. General description of the object
Section 2. History of construction of the metro station "Kakhovskaya" (Moscow)
The station "Kakhovskaya" received its name from the street Kakhovka, which you can go to one of the exits from it (all the exits to the city from this station 8). Through the underground vestibules today you can go to the streets of Kakhovka and Yushunskaya, as well as to Chongar and Simferopol boulevards. In the center of the hall you can go to Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line - under this station Sevastopolskaya was later built. As a rule, the metro "Kakhovskaya" map of the city shows clearly, so problems with orientation on the ground usually does not arise either from the Muscovites themselves or from the guests of the capital.
Section 3. Features of the station and the reasons for its popularity
The person who first came to this station and does not hurry about his business, noticing anything on the way, can fully feel the strict beauty of the hall. At the same time, the thematic insets on the walls, dedicated to the heroes of the Civil War, create a special mood - there is a feeling that you are in the museum.
The station "Kakhovskaya" is a metro, the finishing of columns of which is of interest to paleontologists. Specialists in this field note that marble for columns refers to two types, although for the uninitiated in a special field of knowledge all the facing material seems to be the same. If you carefully look at the surface of marble tiles on polyhedral columns, you can see very interesting, and sometimes unique fossils. Cephalopod mollusks, sea urchin needles , gastropod shells and fragments of lilies ... all can be seen on the surface of the tiles that were used to finish the columns in the metro. Station "Kahovskaya", in addition to its main function, really performs the function of the museum hall!
