• Rubies - symbolize love, romance and passion. The real ruby does not have a bluish or brownish hue. The most commonly used stones are 2 carats;
• Sapphires - are valued for a unique saturated shade of blue. There are sapphires of other colors, but they are much cheaper. The greatest value are stones weighing from 2 to 5 carats, mined in Burma or Kashmir.
