Jewelery education

Jewelry has always been a reflection of the high social status of its owner, imparted to its image the necessary elements of refinement and charm. Nowadays, ornaments of gold and silver can be acquired not only by rich people, but from this they have not lost their image function. Rather, on the contrary, the range in fashion salons is so great that the choice of expensive accessories has become a real art.

Precious metals

The group of precious metals includes gold, silver and platinum (as well as platinum group metals - iridium, ruthenium, palladium, osmium). To make jewelry, any Moscow jewelry factory in Moscow uses gold and silver. The remaining metals are used only in the composition of alloys, since in pure form they will be very, very expensive. The need to add platinum or iridium is due to the fact that they allow improving the quality characteristics of jewelry, in particular - color purity and strength.

The cheapest gold has a sample of 375, the most expensive is 999. For silver, several other quality parameters are 800 and 999 respectively. Also, the quality of the metal can be measured in carats, which show the content of pure gold in 24 parts of the total mass of the product. Metal of the highest quality without any impurities has a sample of 24 carats.

Gems

To precious stones concern: brilliants, sapphires, garnets, emeralds, rubies and aquamarines. All other stones in the jewelry industry are considered semi-precious. If the task is not to buy gold in its pure form, but to acquire an ornament, then it is desirable that it has inserts of precious stones. The best choice is:

  • Diamonds are the true friends of girls who look particularly good with scattered daylight. The most expensive stones are either colorless or have a bright saturated color. Diamonds of round shape with 57-58 faces are usually used;
  • Emeralds - a quality emerald must be clean and have a bright color without visible impurities. Unfortunately, this stone is easily scratched, so it is better to clean it in the conditions of an equipped jewelry salon;
  • Rubies - symbolize love, romance and passion. The real ruby does not have a bluish or brownish hue. The most commonly used stones are 2 carats;
  • Sapphires - are valued for a unique saturated shade of blue. There are sapphires of other colors, but they are much cheaper. The greatest value are stones weighing from 2 to 5 carats, mined in Burma or Kashmir.
