For local people, food is not just the absorption of calories. They attach special importance to the products, the very process of cooking and the already prepared dish.

And in Indian desserts you can fall in love in absentia, even without having had time to try. Oh very tempting sight!

All sweets in India have a common national name - mithhai. The base is also the same, and consists of two ingredients - milk and melted butter. Since each region adds something of its own to Indian sweets, the recipes are very diverse.

It is believed that such dishes are not really useful for the figure and contribute to weight gain. But this is not about desserts of India, most of which, on the contrary, improve digestion.

Almost all sweets are cooked without eggs. Fruits and vegetables (as constituent ingredients) contain many Indian sweets. Recipes of desserts clearly show this.

Indian sweets: jalebi (recipe)

Another no less refined, but easy to prepare dessert. Sweet crunchy rings of orange or yellow.

This is perhaps the most popular sweet, both among local and among tourists. In India, they do it right on the street.

And you can surprise guests and cook at home the Indian sweets of Jalebi. The recipe is sinking.

For the test, you need:

  • Flour - 2 cups;
  • Semolina - 2 teaspoons;
  • Sour cream - 1 tablespoon;
  • A little soda - on the tip of a teaspoon;
  • 1.5 cups of water.

In addition to the test, you need another syrup:

  • 2 cups of sugar;
  • 1 glass of water;
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
  • For flavor you can add a couple of cardamom pods.
  • The last component of the recipe is vegetable oil. It will be needed for deep-frying.

Preparation:

  1. Knead the dough as a pancake (according to the density), and put it for two hours in a warm place, pre-covered with a towel. While it comes, take up syrup.
  2. Put on the fire sugar and water. Then add to them (if desired) lemon juice and cardamom. Blend the mixture for five minutes, until thick.
  3. In form, Jalebi is a spiral. To get this effect, you need a culinary syringe or a bag. From them you can squeeze out the dough and cook Indian sweets. Recipes, as in the case of burfi, have different options.
  4. When the bag or syringe is ready, the dough is squeezed out onto the heated pan with a fairly large layer of oil.
  5. Fry until golden brown alternately on one side and the other. Watch that the dough does not touch the bottom in any way.

Unlike the previous two recipes, this one will be more difficult in terms of ingredients. Lada is made from chickpea flour. It is not available everywhere.

If you do not have this ingredient at hand, use a pea.

So, what is needed:

  • Chickpeas flour - two cups;
  • Hazelnut - 2 tbsp. Spoons;
  • Butter - 200 grams;
  • Powdered sugar - 1 tablespoon;
  • Nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts) - 2 tablespoons (you can choose one kind or use it all);
  • Coconut shaving - 1 tbsp. a spoon;
  • Cardamom - pinch;
  • Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon.

Preparation:

  1. In the melted butter in advance, add flour. Constantly stirring it, fry until the moment when the flour will not go a nice nutty flavor.
  2. Then go nuts, cardamom, cinnamon. We stir everything again and continue to fry. The last one is sugar powder. The mixture is cooled and we mold balls from it. Before modeling, it is better to moisten your hands with water. You can sprinkle the finished balls with coconut shavings.

Lada does not have to do round. The form is completely arbitrary. If there are special cookie shapes, use them.
