In vino veritas, or What is a 'wine diet'?

"In vino veritas" - reads the famous Latin maxim. And its relevance does not disappear for today, because this expression completely reflects the essence of the wine diet used in modern society.

The fact is that any method of losing weight limits the use of alcohol to a minimum or eliminates it completely from the diet. Wine diet not only allows you to consume good wine, but it is completely based on this. Of course, there are a number of limitations in it. So, it is forbidden to eat sugar and salt. As for the liquid, you can drink only wine and water. You can not use coffee, tea, juices, sweet fizzy drinks. Meat and fish also need to be excluded from the diet, preferring dairy products and food of plant origin. Approximate caloricity of one day is 750 kcal.

We all know that alcohol dilutes the blood. Wine helps the body to deal with stressful situations and to balance the work of all its organs and systems. In addition, both red and white wine contribute to the breakdown of fats. However, this does not mean that you need to become an avid drinker and constantly use strong drinks. This diet has a number of strict rules and restrictions.

First of all, its duration should not exceed 5-7 days. The estimated weight loss for this period is 5-7 kg. The daily menu here is exactly the same:

  1. Breakfast should consist of one boiled egg and a tomato.
  2. The second breakfast includes a green apple, which, if desired, can be replaced with 100 grams of apple puree.
  3. Curd (200 g, low-fat) and cucumber. Nutritionists believe that you can alternate cheese and cottage cheese (one day the first product, the next day - the second).
  4. Dinner consists only of 200 ml of red or rose wine. Note that to achieve the desired result, you need to use quality wine, because the powder effect, necessary for weight loss, will not.

Wine diet is great for holidays (since it does not prohibit alcohol). We all know that it is in these days that there are many gastronomic temptations, which are very difficult to overcome. The daily norm of 200 ml, indicated in the diet, can be divided into several equal parts and consumed them during the day. Therefore, on holidays, you can not only not gain extra pounds, but lose weight. The fact is that, as the wine diet excludes consumption of salt and sugar, the metabolism process improves, which allows you to cleanse the body of toxins and toxins.

However, the use of this system has several drawbacks and limitations. First of all, it is impossible to adhere to it to those people who have ever had a predilection for alcohol and abused alcohol. The same goes for those who do not drink strong drinks at all. Wine diet is also contraindicated in pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Note that before using the technique it is necessary to consult a doctor, because some diseases prohibit the use of alcohol. There are chronic diseases in which salt intake is necessary, because its absence stimulates active excretion of the fluid. And this can be contraindicated.

Another drawback is that this diet can be conducted no more than once every three months.

Wine diet, reviews of which can be found contradictory, causes a similar controversy due to the fact that allows you to eat a small amount of nutrients. Firstly, not every organism can tolerate this, and, secondly, it is impossible to adhere to it for a long time, because it can cause irreparable harm to health. Therefore, a preliminary consultation with a specialist is simply necessary. This is the only way to be informed in advance about the possible consequences.
