And this work can be done by absolutely every person - you just need to stock it with scissors, paper and wire. So, how to make pompons from paper?

Material for pom-poms

For a pompon, not any paper is suitable. It should be very light and thin, in order to make the decoration lush and airy. It is better to use cigarette, packing, silk or crepe paper. But financially, the most accessible materials are corrugated paper and tracing paper. The color of the paper is also important. Pompons of delicate pastel shades are very beautiful, but sometimes it will be more appropriate to use bright colors as decorations - yellow, violet, bright red.

Making Pompons from Paper

Paper pom-pom can be done in several ways. Here we will talk about the two most popular. To each instruction photos are added, which show the basic steps.

Option one

Take a sheet of 20 × 6 cm paper strip (the dimensions can be increased or decreased proportionally), fold it in half and cut it in the fold line. The notches should not extend to the opposite edge of the strip. Then turn the sheet and bend it to the other side, so we will provide a splendor to the flower loops. Further we turn off the strip by hand or with the help of a pencil and fix it with threads or tape. Thus, a small paper pompom, ideal for creating compositions or decorating gifts, is obtained.

The second option

The paper pom-pon made with this technology turns out to be more magnificent, airy and very effective. So, we take 8 sheets of special thin paper and add them together as an accordion. The width of the accordion is 4 cm, each fold must be thoroughly ironed. Then you need to take a half-meter piece of floristic wire, fold it in half and fasten it to the center of the accordion. Cut the edges of the paper with a triangle or a semicircle. Then, carefully spread out each layer of paper, and we get a beautiful and lush pompon. The edge of the wire can be bent like a ring or a hook, depending on how you want to hang the jewelry.

Paper pom-pon is a universal decoration. They decorate the halls for wedding ceremonies, decorate large gifts, use them as decor for arches and arbors. The birth of a baby, the birthday of a friend, anniversary, corporate - you can add colors to any holiday.
