How to make a pattern? Snail-tilde: master class on sewing

There are a lot of dolls in the style of tilde. These are bears, and bunnies, and seals, and dogs, and even giraffes, and much more. We suggest you to learn how the tilde-snail doll is made (a pattern, a master class are attached).

Materials and tools for sewing toys

In order for you to get a real snail in the style of tilde, you need to choose quality natural fabrics. Most often, flax and cotton are used. Coloring can be chosen absolutely any. But for the body, choose a fabric of beige shades. The shell is most often sewed from a scrap of bright ornament.

As a filler, it is better to use pieces of hollofiber or sintepon. But if you have small unnecessary scraps of cloth, then they will do.

The rest of the materials are at your discretion and according to your wishes.

Building a Pattern

Typically, all toys are in the style of a tilde of a small size. Therefore, you will have enough pairs of A4 sheets to understand how the pattern is made. Snail-tilde in full size, sewn on such a drawing, will correspond to all necessary proportions.

On one sheet a body with horns of the future toy is drawn, and on the second - a shell-house. It must immediately be depicted spirally. At the same time, try to "stratify" (see the image of the pattern above). On the trunk, the junction of the shell is schematically depicted. These are usually simple two dashes.

You can also make it so that a pattern is placed on one sheet. Snail-tilde in full size will be obtained in this way. Just draw the body and the "house" on each other, as in the picture below.

It is best when the pattern is drawn on a thick cardboard or oilcloth. Then it will last longer, and you can sew more toys.

Sew a simple snail

At the heart of all difficult at first glance toy snails in the style of tilde is the most basic and simple harvesting.

Instructions on how to make the base of a snail:

1. Need a fabric of two shades (for example, beige for the body and pink for the shell), needle, thread, any filler (sintepon, holofayber and so on) and a pattern.
2. Snail-tilde consists of four parts - two on the trunk and a "house".
3. Fold the fabric in half, attach a paper pattern and cut out the details (Figure 1).
4. Sew the parts in pairs, leaving small holes in the joints (illustration 2).
5. Turn out the details of the trunk and seashells.
6. Fill the parts of the toy with filler. To do this, it is convenient to use a wooden stick or pencil (Figure 3). Evenly distribute the filler on all parts of the body and shells, pay special attention to the head and horns.
7. Sew holes.
8. Sew the shell to the trunk (Figure 4).
9. Draw a little face (eyes and mouth), make a blush.

The workpiece is ready. It remains to decorate the toy. You can resort to fantasy or use ready-made advice to get the original tilde-snail.

Pattern, master class for decorating toys

The decor of the traditional snail in the style of tilde includes such an attribute as castors. They can be made from buttons, large beads, decorative wooden wheels and so on.

For example, to make such a snail, you will need to prepare four identical buttons, three artificial flowers with green leaves, three pieces of multi-colored fabric and a filler, a bead, a ribbon or a ready bow.

Master class on the creation of a traditional snail-tilde:

1. Sew a pattern of the toy.
2. The place of connection of the shell-house with the trunk is decorated with a thin band of lace. It can be sewn as well as glued, using a glue gun.
3. Sew on the sides to the torso all four buttons.
4. From the pieces of cloth you need to sew three small pads. Cut out two squares from each shred, stitch them in pairs and fill with filler.
5. Fold all three pads together and sew them to the shell.
6. On top decorate the pillows with a bead.
7. Make a ribbon from the ribbon and tie it to the snail's horn.

The traditional snail-tilde is ready!

New Year's snail

The thematic toy is done quite simply. It will require beige fabric for the trunk and red for the shell. Ideally, use material with Christmas motifs (for example, snowflakes, deer, bells, snowmen and so on). Then sew the workpiece of the toy. To do this, you need a pattern.

Snail-tilde for the New Year is decorated as follows:

1. If a fabric with a thematic pattern was used, then the shell should not be touched. If the shell is sewn from a single-colored scrap, then take the paint (preferably acrylic for work on the fabric) and draw snowflakes.
2. The place of connection of the "house" with the body is decorated with lace and pompons.
3. On the horns of the snail, glue a red bow or a Christmas cap.

The handicraft is ready!

Other decor options

You can decorate a snail-tilde differently, using such materials:

• Lace sewn to the shell;
• Ribbons and bows tied to horns or around the neck;
• Artificial flowers (single or whole bouquets);
• Homemade flowers from cloth;
• Dried lavender, sewn to the shell;
• Various beads;
• Different decorative elements (for example, ladybugs, hearts, keys and so on).
