How to make a beetroot salad with prunes and walnuts

Dishes are tasty, but are useful, and sometimes both. The last statement applies to the dish, the recipe of which today we offer you in our article. Beetroot salad with prunes and walnuts is not only very appetizing, but also useful (provided that you do not fill it with excessive amount of mayonnaise). Cooked vegetables and prunes are very beneficial for digestion, and walnuts are an excellent source of protein and amino acids. For lunch or dinner try to make this dish, it will certainly be to the liking of both you and your family members.

Beets, prunes with walnuts: a recipe for a delicious salad made of simple ingredients

First, boil the beetroot. It is known that this very hard root crop requires a long preparation. But here there are little tricks: put the beets in cold water, bring the liquid to a boil and cook for 20 minutes, then lower the root in ice water for about 10 minutes, and then cook another 20 minutes. In less than an hour, medium-sized vegetables will be ready. You can also bake beets in a microwave oven. To do this, wash the vegetable, put it in a dense plastic bag and tie it, but not too much. Put it into the microwave and cook in the strongest mode for 15 minutes. If you apply this option, then a beet salad with prunes and walnuts will get you a maximum of half an hour from the moment of starting cooking. And, finally, the third way: cut the root crop into pieces and place it in the steamer. You will need 20-25 minutes for the beet to become soft. When the main ingredient is ready, let's go directly to the recipe.

Take:

- 150 g of boiled beets;
- 100 g of prunes;
- 100 g of peeled walnuts;
- A couple of spoons of sesame oil (this, of course, ideally, for lack of sesame take any vegetable);
Salt, 1 chopped garlic clove.

Beetroot salad with prunes and walnuts can be made very quickly, especially if you boil the root vegetable using one of the above accelerated methods. After the beet is ready, grate it on a large grater and put into a bowl. Prunes fill with boiling water and let stand for 15-20 minutes, after slice. If you have expensive dried fruits that are already packaged in packets - washed and very soft - you do not need to steal them, just cut them in small slices at once. Nuts clean, and then grind with a knife or in a coffee grinder. Squeeze the garlic. Salad with prunes and walnuts will be especially tasty if you make a dressing from a mixture of nuts, sesame oil and garlic. Combine the three ingredients and whisk thoroughly in a blender. And now mix the beets with prunes and pour the resulting sauce.

Of course, the salad "Beet, prune, walnut", the recipe of which we cited above, will be tasty with the usual mayonnaise, and with sour cream.
