How to glue a carbon film on a car

For some men, the car is the most favorite toy. Someone considers him an "iron horse", someone treats him like a mistress. But anyway, everyone wants his car to be not only the fastest, but also the most beautiful, stylish, prestigious and steep.

There are two ways to "pump" a car. The first is to replace its internal parts. True, this method requires serious investments and specialist assistance. And sometimes it turns out that it will be cheaper to buy a new car. And the second way is to change the appearance of the "iron horse". It will cost less, and you can handle it yourself if your hands grow properly. Therefore, the question of how to glue a carbon film is one of the most discussed on various thematic Internet resources.

In order to understand how to glue a carbon fiber film, it is necessary to follow simple recommendations. So, let's begin:

1. Before you paste a carbon film, you need to thoroughly clean the intended place of treatment. To do this, we wash out the area of adhesion with a degreasing liquid.

2. Another point that should be taken into consideration before gluing the carbon film is to measure everything well and carefully. It is better to do this with helpers. Attach the film (without removing the substrate) to the place of gluing: twist, mark out. As they say, measure seven times - one cut. To this stage, this expression is suitable for 100%.

3. After you have all marked out and measured out the necessary piece of film, you need to remove the substrate. Do it better again with helpers. It is important that the film does not stick together with itself.

4. Next, we spray the surface with a soap solution, since it is not ideal to stick a carbon film from the first time ideally. Therefore, a soap solution is needed to "adjust" the position of the film and to get rid of air bubbles from under the carbon. An important point is to ensure that the base of the film does not get wet, because there may be problems with its separation.

5. So, how to glue the carbon fiber? The process itself is similar to the process of wallpaper gluing. If you have this experience, then with the film you will cope. After you have applied it to the machine, you need to evenly roll it up with a rubber squeegee, while drying and heating with a hairdryer. You need to start from the middle to the edges. Take care not to create air bubbles and irregularities. At occurrence of such troubles, it is possible accurately to peel off a film and to stick once again, on a course heating up its hair drier. If the film in the places of kinks or unevennesses does not stick well, warming up the hair dryer, it can be stretched more, and then smooth to the surface.

6. Now everything should be left for 15-20 minutes and dried with a hair dryer. So, you have come very close to completing the process. How to glue a carbon fiber film, you already know. It remains all to finish beautifully.

7. After all has dried out, take a felt roller and gently walk the entire film in order to finally expel the soap solution and air bubbles. If nevertheless some of them remain, you should not worry. This can be solved by gently pricking the film with a needle and pressing it to the machine. Or with a wet rag and warmed up with a hairdryer. In principle, small bubbles, drying out, will disappear in a few weeks. At the end of the whole process, cut and fold the excess film.

8. Now gently again dry the place of sticking with a hairdryer. After that, leave your favorite car for a day. This is necessary to ensure that everything finally "grabbed". In the morning, once again inspect the entire surface and, if necessary, walk with a felt blade.

Observing all of the above, you should not have problems with how to glue the carbon fiber film. In the end, you will have reason to be proud of yourself for at least two reasons. First, the whole process you carried out yourself. And secondly, you gave your beloved car a new, completely individual look.
