How to flip the image in Photoshop, enlarge, cut and add text

Photoshop is a powerful image editor, and there are no analogues of it in the whole world. However, some novice program users are faced with a lot of difficulties when working with it. This is due to certain reasons, but the main one is an incomprehensible interface. And in fact, compared to an editor like Pait, Photoshop scares its tools. But this is only at first.

In this article, four simple functions will be parsed. We learn how to flip the image in Photoshop, enlarge it, cut it out and put text in it. These seemingly simple operations may seem rather complicated to newly arrived users of the program, but the detailed instructions that will be mentioned in the article will help you to understand everything.

Flip the image

So, first of all we learn how to turn the image in "Photoshop". So, in order not to rant for a long time, let's start immediately to the point.

The first thing to do is, of course, open the picture itself. You can do it in two ways. The first, and more understandable to beginners, means clicking on the top panel of the File item, followed by pressing Open. The second way reduces the time spent. You must press Ctrl + O. In either case, a dialog box appears before you. In it, pave the way to the desired picture, then select it by clicking "Open".

So, the picture is open, but before turning the image in "Photoshop", it must first be selected. How to do it? You can select a drawing either completely or as a separate area. To do this, the tool has the following objects: Rectangular / Elliptical Marquee Tool, Lasso / Polygonal Lasso / Magnetic Lasso Tool. But if you need to turn the whole image, use Ctrl + A.

Now you need to rotate the picture. To do this, you need to use tools such as Edit, Transform and Rotate 180. Once you have selected the right tool, you can use the mouse to specify the angle of its rotation. If you have defined the angle, press Enter to apply the changes. It remains only to save the picture itself. To do this, press Shift + Ctrl + S. Specify the path where you want to save the file, and click "OK." That's all, now you know how to turn the image in "Photoshop".

Zoom the image

Now let's talk about how to increase the image in Photoshop. In view of the fact that you already know how to open it, we will skip this step. So, the image is in front of you. If you want to increase it to make it easier to work with small objects, you can use the Zoom Tool. You can also use a combination of hotkeys: Ctrl + "+" - to zoom in, or Ctrl + "-" - to reduce it.

If you want to enlarge the drawing itself, then you need to use the Free Transform tool in the Edit menu. You can also call this function by pressing Ctrl + T. Now a grid with hot corners appeared on the image. To change the size, move the cursor to the node and, moving the mouse, specify the new size. If you want the size to vary proportionally, hold down the Shift key.

Cut the image

Now it will be told how to cut the image in "Photoshop". To do this, you will need to use the "Crop" tool. It is located in the sidebar on the left, the third in the list. Selecting it and holding the LMB, specify the required area in the image for the clipping. After selection, the area can be edited by stretching it in breadth or height. It remains only to press Enter. Now the surpluses that were beyond the selection area have disappeared.

Paste text into the image

Paste text into the image is very simple. To do this, use the "Horizontal Text" or "Vertical Text" tools, depending on the location you want to see.

Now click LMB where you intend to insert the image. After that, you need to enter your text in the field. At this stage you can not pay attention to its font, color or size. Now in the menu you need to open the "Window" section, in it select "Symbol". In the appeared window you can modify your inscription as your heart desires. Once you have made all the adjustments, you can safely save the image.
