How to cook salmon in the oven? This method of cooking whole salmon is simple and does not require special culinary skills. For cooking fish you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2.5 kg of pre-evaporated salmon;
  • 1 thinly sliced lemon;
  • Bay leaf (can be ground);
  • Fennel root;
  • Black pepper (several peas);
  • Garlic (several denticles);
  • parsley;
  • 200 ml of white wine;
  • Salt (to taste).

To prepare a salad that must be served with fish, you need the following ingredients:

  1. 1 fresh cucumber (cut into slices);
  2. 1 bunch of watercress;
  3. 1 fennel root (cut into thin circles);
  4. Dill (finely chopped);
  5. 1 tablespoon lemon juice;
  6. 1 tablespoon olive oil;
  7. 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar.

Next, consider the sequence of preparation.

Gut the whole salmon. Wash and well dry the fish with kitchen napkins. To prevent the fins from burning in the oven, they must be cut off. Depending on the size of the shape in which you will bake salmon, you can cut off the head and tail.

After you have prepared the fish, it can be filled with lemon. Put in the fish pieces of lemon, fennel and 1 - 2 bay leaves. Put a piece of crumpled foil in the middle of the fish, in order to keep it in shape (you can pre-marinate the fish).

Then we prepare the baking mold. We put there sheets of foil and abundantly grease with olive or vegetable oil. On the foil laid spread pieces of lemon, peas black pepper, bay leaf and chopped parsley.

Fish chilled with pounded garlic and salt to taste (instead of salt, you can also use a seasoning for fish). When the shape is ready, put the fish there and pour dry white wine. Salmon should be covered with foil on top, so that it is evenly saturated with juice, wine and not dry.

Preheat the oven in advance to 180 - 200 ˚C. Place the fish in the oven and bake it for 35-40 minutes.

When the fish is ready, carefully unfold the foil (by the way, you can cook salmon in a batter similar to the recipe). Wait until the salmon cools, and transfer it to another bowl (in hot condition it can fall apart). While the fish is hot, we remove the skin with a thin knife from the top of the head to the tail.

Next, to decorate and beautifully serve dishes prepare a salad. Slice the cucumber and fennel. Add dill and cress leaves to the salad. Pour white wine vinegar, olive oil and mix well. You can add lemon juice to taste.

Put on a large salad dish, and from above carefully place the fish. You can serve salmon not only with salad, but with vegetables.
