How to cook burrito with chicken in Mexican?

Burrito rightfully can be considered a traditional Mexican dish. It is very popular not only in Mexico, but also in many other countries of Latin America. At the same time, it is often compared to an American hot dog or a Caucasian shawarma, although if you look closely at the recipe for cooking, you can immediately see significant differences.

When preparing burritos, it should be taken into account that practically all recipes of Mexican cuisine use a large amount of spicy spices or seasonings. Therefore, if you do not like strongly spicy food, then you should use spices to your taste, and not by prescription.

There are a lot of recipes for cooking burrito. At the same time, they differ from each other both in the way they are prepared and in the ingredients. However, it is this recipe that burritos can be considered one of the most common and optimal for the products used.

For the preparation of burrito with chicken will need the most common ingredients, which can be found in each refrigerator. Their proportion is calculated on six standard portions.

Ingredients:

  • Boiled chicken fillet - 2 pieces;
  • Fresh tomatoes - 2 pcs .;
  • Mushrooms (preferably white, but champignons may also come up) - 200 g;
  • Bulgarian pepper - 2 pcs .;
  • Garlic - 2 teeth;
  • Sunflower oil (for frying) - 50 g;
  • Onions - 2 pcs.,
  • Lavash - 6 pieces;
  • Hard cheese - 150 g;
  • Parsley - 1 bunch;
  • salt;
  • pepper.

Preparation

To cook burrito with chicken, chicken fillet, mushrooms and onions must be cut into small cubes. Also should be done with tomatoes and Bulgarian pepper, but beforehand they should be peeled off. To do this, tomatoes can be doused with boiling water, and pepper lightly fry.

The further process of cooking burrito with chicken is to fry all the ingredients. Each of them should be added one after another in a strict sequence.

First, pour a little oil on the frying pan, on which we fry the onion until golden. After that, add the finely chopped garlic, which together with the onions fry for three minutes. Next for burrito with chicken, you need to add chicken fillet, which is also fried with other ingredients for about three minutes.

After the chicken fillet you need to add mushrooms to the pan, which you need to fry for five minutes, and after them - Bulgarian pepper. After the Bulgarian pepper burrito with chicken you need to salt and pepper, and then add the tomatoes and greens. The resulting filling should be fried for about three minutes, after which it can be considered ready.

The further process of preparation consists in wrapping the filling in lavash. To do this, lay out the filling in the center of a sheet of lavash and sprinkle abundantly with grated cheese. After that, pita bread is wrapped in the manner of shawarma, but sometimes the edges are left open. Although you can wrap it in any other way, the main thing is that then the dish does not crumble.

To complete the burrito, it must be put in the oven to allow the cheese to melt. In this case, some cooks add more cheese and from above. In a few minutes the burrito will be ready.
