How to build a gazebo in the country with their own hands

The garden gazebo is an air structure in the villa area, which, regardless of the weather conditions, allows you to enjoy fresh air and the surrounding nature. Correctly equipped roof will cover its visitors from the rain and from the heat. In this article, you can find out how to build a gazebo in the country house with your own hands.

There are a large number of options for the construction of garden arbors. They can be wooden, brick, metal, glazed, open, etc. The choice of material and the form of manufacture will depend on the location of the gazebo and its purpose. One feature is inherent in all of its types - this design creates the illusion of lightness and should not look like a capital structure.

A gazebo is built at the dacha with its own hands in several stages. Initially, its location and wind direction are determined . Next, the design and dimensions are thought out, depending on the number of people who will visit it. After the creation of the gazebo project and the selection of the material for its manufacture, it is possible to get down to business.

In order to understand how the arbor in the dacha is constructed by oneself, one can consider the example of erecting a rectangular structure for ten people. Its dimensions will be about 2.5 by 3.5 meters, and height - 2.5 meters. For an accurate definition of these parameters, it is better to put furniture on the site or simply to imagine how much space it should occupy. After carrying out this procedure, markings are made: on the previously prepared site pegs are installed, between which a fishing line is arranged. At the same time, the places of passage to the arbor and the installation of pillars are also marked.

In this example, the platform for the construction will be absent. The gazebo floor can be made of paving slabs or other material that the owner will prefer. At the corners of the marked structure, four pillars are dug into the depth of half a meter. If the design has a non-rectangular shape, there should be more. The height is three meters. After the installation, other columns of the same size between the two adjacent ones are dug in. Before they are placed in the ground, it is best to treat the lower part of the wood with tar and wrap it in a ruberoid.

After the installation of the pillars, they are leveled around the perimeter and filled with a ready-made cement mortar. As soon as it dries, the top edges of the building are laid with a bar from 5x10 cm on all four sides. A gazebo is prepared at the dacha with their own hands with an accurate definition of the blots in the work, so it's worth using the building level and eliminating the errors right away.

After the above steps, a roof is made. Alternatively, you can make it gable and cover with bitumen shingles. A more reliable construction of the roof for the gazebo is the installation of four rafters with long sides, which are connected by a crossbeam. It is recommended to perform this work with an assistant using a strapping bar. OSB boards or plywood are attached to it, and bitumen tiles are laid on the surface of the selected material . Next, the roof ridge is covered, and protective strips are placed along the edges. This is the main part of the work is completed and it is worth starting to decorate.

The next stage of the work includes the equipment of the handrail and the upper frame. The railing is set to a height of about 120 centimeters, and under the bevel of the roof tablets are created from the rails. The gazebo is prepared by the hands on the site in absolutely any way that the owner likes, most importantly - its harmonious combination with the rest of the buildings. Do it yourself or with an assistant is not so difficult, but in the absence of experience it is better to entrust it to specialists or to purchase a garden awning. Do not forget that there is always the opportunity to create a barbecue in the country with their own hands.
