How is the indicator indicator and how to use it?
Indicator caliper is a device that allows you to accurately determine the parameters and values of the internal holes of parts, including their radius and depth. In this case, the indication of the device is displayed on the display by a contact method. Basically, indicator gauges are used when there is a need to measure a part located in a very inaccessible place (that is, where it is impossible to apply a conventional construction measuring tape). This element operates on the principle of a radiusometer.
Characteristic
This measuring instrument is widely used as a kind of ruler for internal product measurements. The indicator caliper is issued in accordance with standard measurement limits, which is determined by GOST. Often, such devices are able to determine the depth of the device in the range from 1 to 18 millimeters. Also, the indicator gage has in its design removable washers and rods, which are mounted in the hole of the tee head of the tool. The difference in their magnitude is from 1 to 5 millimeters.
Device
The main structural element in the indicator gage is a guide bushing. In its upper part, the hour indicator is set, the reliability of which is determined by a special screw. It is he who displays the exact measurement data. The scale on it can be either switch or electronic. Inside the sleeve in the construction of the telescope there is a long rod that comes into contact with a similar piece of smaller diameter. A short rod rests against the "fungus" of the tee head. In the tee there is a replaceable measuring rod and an "engine". Both parts are fixed in the body with a nut. In addition, the indicator caliper has in its design a centering bridge. It is intended for installation of the indicator head. The diameter of the latter depends on the width of the hole in the part into which the device is inserted during the measurement of the values. This is how the modern indicator caliper is arranged.
How to use this device?
Before performing the work, you must reset the previous values. Information is discarded in several ways, using a micrometer, a calibration ring, or a terminal measure. After "0" is displayed on the scale of the electronic or dial gauge, you can proceed to measure the width of the opening of the part. In this case, the holonomer is placed in the hole perpendicular to the article. By the value of the arrow readings, you can find out how much the reference values differ from those indicated by the manufacturer.
