House of expanded clay blocks: the advantage of the material and the features of the construction of the walls

Among the modern construction means there is a large number of new materials that are used for the erection of buildings. For example, a house made of expanded clay blocks is popular. It should be noted that the main raw material for the production of the presented material is baked and foamed natural clay, which is often used as a heater. After exposure to high temperatures, it forms a strong shell.

The advantage of the presented material is the ability to absorb sound and save heat. Also it should be noted its resistance to burning, moisture, rotting, corrosion or rusting. In this case, the material is very light, so you can build houses quickly and easily.

The house made of expanded clay blocks is considered quite cheap and economical. The matter is that the material has a small value. The advantage of expanded clay is that it can be used even in very cold climates. Another great advantage of the material is that it is capable of "breathing", that is, letting air in through the walls into the house, but not letting out heat from it. And also note the fact that the wall of the presented blocks does not require special care and can stand very, very long.

The house is made of claydite-concrete blocks quickly, and the elements can be made independently. For example, it is necessary to take fine-grained expanded clay sand and gravel. Naturally, to cement the ingredients presented, quality cement is needed. A large aggregate should be twice as large as a fine one. Such blocks are cheap and very durable. Please note that all proportions must be kept very strictly (C: P: K: B = 1: 1.5: 1: 0.7).

A house made of expanded clay blocks is considered relatively light, so for its erection there is no need to build a very powerful foundation. However, it is necessary to equip the formwork. If you get ready blocks, then the need for this will disappear.

The masonry of the walls of expanded clay blocks is not difficult and similar to the construction of bricks. In this case, the substrate must be greased with glue or cement, so that the first row is well attached. If you will pour a wall with the formwork, then the mixture must be laid neatly and slightly rammed. In this case, we should not forget about the armature. Try to mix the mixture carefully so that the expanded clay is not damaged. If the formwork is completely filled, then an oilcloth can be put on top, which will protect the material from washing out in case of rain. The wall dries for about 2 days, if the air temperature is not less than 18 degrees Celsius. After the masonry dries well, you can start to build a second layer. In this case, some granules of expanded clay should depart from the already made layer.

The construction of claydite-concrete blocks acquires a fairly wide popularity, as it contributes to the cheapening of the process of erecting buildings, but at the same time the performance characteristics of such houses remain at a high level.
