Homogeneous linoleum - durable coating for home and office

At present, in the building materials market, linoleum is a universal floor covering. The material got its name because of the flax oil that is present in its composition. The advantages of the product include low cost compared to laminate or parquet, as well as hygiene, environmental friendliness, ease of care and a variety of colors and patterns.

Products can be of two types: homogeneous linoleum and heterogeneous.

The latter species has two or three layers in its composition, and in the production of this product, reinforcing fiberglass is used, which is a kind of basis for the canvas. The heterogeneous species is characterized by a more sophisticated production technology and, correspondingly, a higher cost.

Homogeneous linoleum is a homogeneous cloth with a thickness of 2 to 4 millimeters. Such a coating does not have additional patterns and is distinguished by its uniformity.

However, the scarcity of the color range is filled with excellent characteristics. Linoleum homogeneous has an excellent ability to maintain its original appearance even with prolonged use. This material is used in rooms where mechanical damage to the floor can occur. Homogeneous linoleum is the ideal solution for laying the coating in hospitals, schools, shops, offices and other institutions.

The installation of the material is often carried out using a special adhesive. Without the use of adhesive mortar, linoleum laying is performed in rooms with a small area. Nal Adhesion of the adhesive gives the coating a good adhesion to the floor, especially when using several pieces of linoleum. In this case, after laying the material, you can safely move heavy objects on the floor, without fear of damage or shear of the coating.

Sometimes, for better anchoring in the base of the concrete floor, holes are made into which wooden plugs are driven. Then the linoleum is attached with screws.

Linoleum is homogeneous, the price of which is much lower than analogs and other types of coatings, is the best solution for the arrangement of public premises where you can observe a high degree of patency. If properly installed, the material will retain its original appearance for the entire service life, which lasts up to 20 years.

Many offices also use commercial homogeneous linoleum, made from natural materials. This coating is produced in one layer and has a binding base of jute. However, unlike the conventional material made of PVC, these products are 99 percent composed of natural inclusions (jute tree fibers, linseed oil, wood flour, natural dyes, resin trees).

Commercial homogeneous linoleum has a higher price and is used both in small residential premises and in industrial areas in which high loads are applied to the floor. In addition, the material has antistatic and antibacterial properties, which causes its use in institutions where high security requirements are imposed (schools, hospitals, etc.)
